PRINSIP DESAIN ARSITEKTUR TADAO ANDO

Tadao Ando adalah seorang arsitek Jepang generasi kedua yang sangat terkenal dan popular, proses pembelajaran terhadap arsitektur dilakukannya secara otodidak dengan menelusuri dan mengamati secara langsung bangunan di penjuru Jepang, Eropa dan Amerika serta membaca buku-buku tentang arsitektur. Proses tersebut membentuk Ando mempunyai pemikiran tentang arsitektur yang bersifat individual, mencirikan keaslian (originality) dan tidak terikat dengan kelaziman yang ada. Penelitian membahas dan mempelajari prinsip desain arsitektur Tadao Ando melalui pendekatan content analysis yang menekankan pada tiga prinsip desain Ando yaitu material, geometri dan nature. Prinsip desain Ando tersebut digunakan sebagai parameter untuk menemukan perbedaan karya desain Ando di kategori monistic architecture dan pluralistic architecture dengan menggunakan pendekatan presedent analysis. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan tinjauan tekstual, nature adalah sarana yang membantu Ando mencapai tujuannya untuk menstimulasi semangat dari manusia sebagai pengguna utama dari suatu hasil karya arsitektur menyentuh secara langsung perasaan emosi pengguna. Nature terungkap pada pemandangan lansekap yang indah di sekeliling bangunan yang dibingkai oleh bentuk geometri arsitektur yang kaku dan tegas menghasilkan perpaduan logika alam dan logika arsitektur secara sempurna. Perbedaan gelap terang yang dramatis dan mengejutkan, bayangan cahaya pada interior, pencahayaan yang bergerak sesuai arah sinar matahari di dinding dengan menggunakan material beton unfinising, komposisi pencerminan cahaya membantu menciptakan nilai artistik tertinggi dari suatu karya. Perbedaan yang muncul di monistic dan pluralistic architecture terhadap ketiga prinsip tersebut adalah, (1) material digunakan adalah beton unfinishing, (2) bentuk geometri yang lebih kompleks dan bervariasi di pluralistic architecture dibandingkan dengan bentuk geometri sederhana di monistic architecture, (3) nature memiliki makna symbolic monistic architecture, di pluralistic architecture ekplorasi lansekap lebih mendominasi. Ketiga prinsip tersebut digunakan Ando secara kontinu di seluruh karya desainnya.

Tadao Ando is a second-generation Japanese architect who is very famous and popular, the learning process towards architecture by self-taught with explore and observe directly the buildings across Japan, Europe and America, as well as reading books about architecture. That process establishment Ando's thought about the architecture of the individual, characterizing the authenticity (originality) and is not bound with the existing prevalence. Research discuss and study about principles of Ando's architectural design through content analysis approach that emphasizes on three principles, there are materials, geometry and nature. The design principle is used as a parameter to find the differences between monistic architecture and pluralistic architecture in Ando's work using presedent analysis approach. The results of study based on textual reference, nature is a tool that helps Ando reach his goal to stimulate the spirit of the human being as the primary user of a work of architecture directly touching the emotions of users. Nature revealed the scenery beautiful landscaping around the building framed by a rigid pure geometric forms generate confrontation between of logic nature and logic architecture perfectly.Differences light dark dramatic and surprising, light shadow on the interior, lighting that moves in the direction of sunlight on the wall using concrete unfinishing, the composition of the reflection of light to help create the highest artistic value of a work. Differences appearing in the monistic and pluralistic architecture of these three principles are, (1) The material used is concrete unfinishing, (2) geometric forms is more complex and varied in pluralistic architecture compared to simple geometry in monistic architecture, (3) the nature has a symbolic meaning monistic architecture, in pluralistic exploration of landscape architecture dominates. The all three principle is used continuous on the entire design of Ando's work.
