The spread of online groceries shopping services has consequences for brand proficiency in competitiveness with competitors which into this market. Of course, many brands flock to offer their product excellence to consumers through their marketing communication campaigns. GoMart, as one of these businesses actor, competes to scoop up consumers by adopting the figure of emak-emak as iconicity that is suitable to be placed as a plus value of their latest service titled #EmakJago. This study is intended to analyze how representations of emak-emak are displayed in GoMart's marketing communication on Instagram and Twitter. Furthermore, Sara Mills' model of critical discourse analysis that examines the position of subject-object, reader position, and the discourse is considered as a suitable method to serve as the basis for the analysis behind textual content in 6 sample posts spread from November 30, 2020 to May 23, 2021. The results of the analysis showed that the practice of #EmakJago's marketing communication campaigns exploited the figures emak-emak in its content that is loaded with gender stereotypes and mockery against emak emak. Emak-emak are crudely adopted as objects that are attached to domestic activities and do not have the capabilities to do other activities outside household charges. This is contradictory to GoMart's initial claim that it promised the empowerment of women from driver-partners' families due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic which should be loaded with femvertising practices that favor brand support for women. Therefore, the idiocracy that occurs can risk backfiring for the continuity of their PR & CSR programs through its relation to brand feminism-hypocrisy or known as "femwashing" which is solely for the tendency to suppress the wave of consumerism.
