Pendengar Lagu dan Isu Kesehatan Mental dalam Musik (Analisis Resepsi Audiens pada Lirik Lagu "Rehat" karya Kunto Aji)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemaknaan audiens atau pendengar lagu terhadap isu kesehatan mental dalam lirik lagu Rehat karya Kunto Aji. Penelitian ini juga menggali aspek-aspek yang memiliki hubungan terhadap pembentukan makna oleh khalayak pendengar. Dalam hal ini secara garis besar meliputi beberapa aspek, diantaranya karakteristik informan dalam akses teks, analisis informan yang meliputi latar belakang, pilihan musik, serta akses media sosial dan isu kesehatan mental. Selain itu, aspek lain yang diteliti adalah perilaku sharing di media sosial, lingkungan sekitar, serta profesi dan keterkaitan informan dengan isu kesehatan mental. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis resepsi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah khalayak pendengar Kunto Aji, yang telah mengikuti perjalanan karirnya terutama pada 2018-2019 saat album Mantra-mantra sedang berjaya. Melalui penelitian ini, dapat diketahui bahwa seluruh informan secara personal menyukai dan menikmati lagu Rehat serta memahami lirik lagu yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Pada penelitian ini, informan memiliki latar belakang yang beragam. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Khalayak pendengar yang berbeda-beda memaknai lagu secara berbeda pula. Perbedaan pemaknaan ini dipengaruhi oleh latar belakang mereka yang beragam. 2) Aspek latar belakang yang berkaitan dengan pemaknaan khalayak pendengar tidak serta merta memengaruhi pemaknaan informan. Aspek lain seperti pengalaman terkait isu kesehatan mental, pilihan musik, dan akses media sosial, secara kompleks turut memengaruhi proses pemaknaan informan. 3) Khalayak pendengar yang diteliti menerima pesan dalam lirik lagu Rehat, tetapi tidak semua informan bisa mengimplementasikan hal tersebut ke dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang mereka jalani. 4) Lagu dinilai sebagai media yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap isu kesehatan mental.

This research analyzes how the audience or song listeners interpret the mental health issues within the lyrics of Rehat by Kunto Aji. This research also explores aspects related to the formation of meaning by the audience. The formation of meaning covers several aspects, which are the characteristics of informants in access to text, analysis of informants background, music choices, as well as their access to social media and mental health issues. In addition, the behavior of sharing on social media, the informants environment, profession, and their association with mental health issues are also discussed. This research is a qualitative research and conducted by employing the reception analysis method. The subject of this research is the audience of Kunto Aji, who follows his career journey especially in 2018-2019 when the Mantra-mantra album is in its prime. Through this research, all informants personally like and enjoy the song Rehat and understand the lyrics discussed in this research. In this study, the informants had various backgrounds. The results of this research indicate that: 1) Different audience interpret songs differently. The difference in meaning is influenced by their various backgrounds. 2) The background associated to the audience's understanding is not the only aspect that affecting the informants interpretation. Other aspects, such as their experiences related to mental health issues, music choices, and their access to social media, have a complex influences on the process of informants interpretation. 3) The audience received the message from Rehat lyrics, but not all of informants could implement it into their daily lives. 4) The song is considered as an effective media to increase the public awareness of mental health issues.
