KONSEP 'LA DOULEUR' DALAM KUMPULAN PUISI CAPITALE DE LA DOULEUR KARYA PAUL ELUARD : KAJIAN SEMIOTIKA RIFFATERRIAN

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan simbol atau tanda dalam kumpulan puisi Capitale de la douleur karya Paul Eluard yang menunjukkan makna douleur (rasa sakit), dan kesinambungan judul recueil dengan isi karyanya. Dalam puisi terdapat konsep indirection (ketidaklangsungan ekspresi) hal ini merupakan cara puisi membawa makna yang disampaikan secara tidak langsung, sehingga untuk memahami puisi harus dilakukan pembacaan dan analisis secara mendalam guna menemukan makna puisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan semiotik dengan menggunakan teori semikotik puisi Michael Riffaterre. Perwujudan aspek teori semiotik puisi riffaterrian dalam analisis Capitale de la douleur (1926) berguna untuk mengungkap makna douleur (rasa sakit) yang tersembunyi dalam karya puisi tersebut. Metode penelitian adalah menemukan 4 aspek teori semiotik puisi Michael Riffaterre sebagai berikut; Pertama adalah (a) pembacaan heuristik berupa pemahaman tingkat pertama yakni penjabaran teks puisi secara semantis atau tataran bahasa. Kedua, (b) pembacaan hermeneutik berupa interpretasi makna, atau disebut juga pembacaan tingkat lanjut. Ketiga, (c) matriks, model, dan varian, merupakan bentuk dari ketidaklangsungan ekspresi yang ditemukan dalam teks puisi berupa ide dan diksi yang merujuk pada konsep douleur (rasa sakit) yang tersembunyi. Keempat, (d) hipogram berupa hipogram potensial dan hipogram aktual. Hasil dari proses analisis mengungkapkan bahwa makna douleur (rasa sakit) dalam Capitale de la douleur (1926) diungkapkan secara tidak langsung dan tersembunyi melalui simbol atau tanda. Simbol atau tanda dalam Capitale de la douleur (1926) diungkapkan dalam wujud diksi atau pilihan kata dalam sajak puisi tersebut. Diksi tersebut membawa makna suatu benda atau kejadian yang tidak secara langsung mengacu pada makna douleur (rasa sakit).

This study aims to describe symbols or signs in an anthology of Capitale de la douleur (1926) written by Paul Eluard that which depicts the meaning of douleur (pain), and the consistency of the relation between the anthology's title and the contents of his work. In the poetry, there is the concept of indirection, this is a way of poetry carrying meaning conveyed indirectly, so that to understand poetry must be read and analyzed in depth to find the meaning of poetry. This study uses a semiotic approach using the semiotics of poetry theory by Michael Riffaterre. The manifestation of the semiotic aspects of riffaterrian in the anthology of Capitale de la douleur (1926) that found in the analysis process is useful for revealing the douleur (pain) meaning hidden in the poetry work. The research method is to find 4 aspects of the semiotics of poetry theory of Michael Riffaterre as follows; First, (a) heuristic readings, a first level comprehension, where the poetic text is elaborated semantically or read with the basic of understanding for language convention. Second, (b) hermeneutic readings as a form of interpretation of the meanings, or known as advanced readings. Third, (c) matrices, models, and variants, that are forms of indirection meaning found in poetic texts that refers to the meaning of the hidden douleur concept. Fourth, (d) hypograms in the form of potential hypograms and actual hypograms. The results of the analysis process reveal that the meaning of douleur (pain) in Capitale de la douleur (1926) is expressed indirectly and hidden through symbols or signs. The symbol or sign in Capitale de la douleur (1926) is expressed in the form of diction in the poem. The diction carries the meaning of an object or situation that does not directly refer to the douleur (pain) meaning.
