KAJIAN PEMANFAATAN MODA TRANSPORTASI KERETA REL LISTRIK (KRL) COMMUTER LINE DALAM PERGERAKAN KOMUTER BEKASI-JAKARTA

KRL Commuter Line merupakan salah satu moda transportasi alternatif yang menjadi arahan pengembangan pemerintah untuk mengurangi kemacetan di Kawasan Jabodetabek. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada kajian pemanfaatan KRL Commuter Line oleh komuter yang berasal dari Kota Bekasi sebagai penyumbang jumlah komuter terbanyak di DKI Jakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik komuter, mendeskripsikan karakteristik pergerakan komuter, dan menilai kualitas KRL Commuter Line berdasarkan persepsi komuter. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik komuter pengguna KRL Commuter Line didominasi oleh perempuan, pekerjaan dominan pegawai swasta, dan memiliki penghasilan kelas menengah. Sebagian besar komuter menggunakan KRL dengan frekuensi tinggi dalam satu minggu (5-7 hari per minggu). Mayoritas komuter memiliki tujuan pergerakan untuk bekerja dan menggunakan kendaraan penghubung dari dan menuju stasiun. Secara umum penilaian kualitas pelayanan KRL Commuter Line untuk dimensi tangibles, reliability, respponsiveness, assurance, dan emphaty adalah baik.

KRL Commuter Line is one of transportation mode alternative that becomes the priority of government's development to reduce congestion in Jabodetabek region. This research focused on the utilization of KRL Commuter Line by commuters from Bekasi City as the largest contributor of commuters in DKI Jakarta. This study aimed to describe the characteristics of commuters, to describe the characteristics of commuters movement, and to rate the service quality transportation of KRL Commuter Line. This study uses a quantitative approach and analyzed by using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the characteristics of commuters are dominated by women, have job dominant as private employees, and have middle class income. Most commuters use the KRL with high frequency in one week (5-7 days per week). The majority of commuters have travel purpose to work and use the movement of vehicles from and to the KRL station. The commuters assess that the service quality of KRL Commuter Line from dimension of the tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, dan emphaty are good.
