INTISARI Penelitian ini membahas tentang analisis metode penerjemahan majas perbandingan dalam novel Eomma, Na Tto Olke dan novel terjemahan Mom, I ll Come Again. Gaya bahasa kiasan (majas) merupakan pemanfaatan kekayaan bahasa untuk mendapatkan efek tertentu sehingga penerjemahan dari gaya bahasa kiasan (majas) tersebut berbeda dengan bahasa biasa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui metode penerjemahan yang telah digunakan oleh penerjemah dalam menerjemahkan biyubeop atau majas perbandingan dari Bsu ke dalam Bsa dan memahami makna yang terkandung di dalam majas tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan terlebih dahulu mencari daftar biyubeop atau majas perbandingan yang ada di dalam novel asli dan terjemahan kemudian menganalisis metode penerjemahan serta pengaruh penggunaan metode penerjemahan terhadap transfer makna majas-majas dalam tataran leksikal (kata). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada 361 kalimat yang mengandung biyubeop atau majas perbandingan. Penerjemah lebih banyak menggunakan metode penerjemahan sama makna dan bentuk dengan total 208 kalimat. Selanjutnya, metode penerjemahan dengan penghapusan dengan total 60 kalimat, metode penerjemahan dengan parafrasa dengan total 49 kalimat dan metode penerjemahan sama makna beda bentuk dengan total 44 kalimat. Jikyubeop atau simile paling banyak diterjemahkan menggunakan 3 metode yakni penerjemahan sama makna dan bentuk, penerjemahan sama makna tetapi beda bentuk dan penerjemahan dengan parafrasa. Euiseongbeop atau onomatope banyak diterjemahkan dengan metode penerjemahan dengan parafrasa dan penerjemahan dengan penghapusan. Penerjemah telah menggunakan keempat metode penerjemahan bahasa figuratif oleh Mona Baker (1992). Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa transfer makna biyubeop atau majas perbandingan dari Bsu ke Bsa dapat tersampaikan dengan baik sehingga pembaca mampu mengerti maksud dari kalimat-kalimat bermajas tersebut.

ABSTRACT This thesis examines about the translation methods analysis of figure of speech in the Eomma, Na Tto Olke novel and the translated Mom novel, I ll Come Again. Figurative language style are the utilization of the language richness to get a certain effect, so the translation of figurative language style is different from the usual language. The purpose of this thesis are to determine the method of translation that have been used by the translator in translating biyubeop or figure of speech from the source language to the target language and to understand the meaning which is contained in that figure of speech. This thesis research method are done by the first step of searching the list of biyubeop or figure of speech in the original novel and the translated novel. The next step is analyzing the methods of the translation, and also the translation effect for transfering the meaning of biyubeop or figure of speech in the rank of lexical (word) aspect. The results of this study indicate that there are 361 sentences containing biyubeop or figure of speech. The translator mostly used the similar meaning and form translation method with total of 208 sentences. After that, the translator also used the omission translation method with total of 66 sentences, the pharaphrase translation method with total of 49 sentences and the similar meaning but different form translation method with total of 44 sentences. Jikyubeop or simile mostly translated by using 3 method, such as the similar meaning and form translation method, the similar meaning but different form translation method also the omisson translation method. Euiseongbeop or onomatope mostly translated by using the pharaphrase translation method and the omission translation method. The translator used all translation method by Mona Baker (1992). Its indicated that transfering the meaning of biyubeop or figure of speech in the rank of lexical (word) aspect from the source language to the target language is well transfered so the reader can easily understand the meaning which is contained in that figure of speech.
