THE PRODUCTION PROCESS OF KABAR ALUMNI MAGAZINE UNIVERSITAS GADJAH MADA AND ITS CHALLENGES

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa proses produksi dari majalah Kabar Alumni yang dibuat oleh Kantor Hubungan Alumni Universitas Gadjah Mada. Penulis menjelaskan bagaimana proses pembuatan majalah Kabar Alumni dan mengidentifikasi tantangan selama proses tersebut. Untuk pengumpulan data, penulis melakukan observasi langsung selama kegiatan magang di Direktorat Kemitraan, Alumni dan Hubungan Internasional yang dimulai pada tanggal 2 Februari hingga 1 Mei 2015. Selain itu, penulis juga mewawancara tim produksi majalah tersebut. Berdasarkan metode studi pustaka, penulis membaca beberapa buku dan artikel dari internet guna mendukung informasi untuk penelitian tersebut. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa majalah Kabar Alumni di Kantor Hubungan Alumni Universitas Gadjah Mada melalui beberapa tahapan proses produksi dalam pelaksanaanya, yang meliputi tahap perencanaan, tahap produksi dan tahap pendistribusian. Selain itu, dalam proses produksi juga terdapat beberapa tantangan yang dialami. Namun, tantangan tersebut dapat teratasi dengan kerjasama tim yang bekualitas.

This research aims to analyze the production process of Kabar Alumni magazine which is managed by Office of Alumni Relations Universitas Gadjah Mada. The writer explains the production process of the magazine from pre-production, production and post-production stage and identifies the challenges during the process. To collect the data, the writer did observation during the internship in Directorate of Partnership, Alumni and Global Initiatives since February 2 until May 1, 2015. In addition, the writer also interviews the production team of the magazine. According to library study mehod, she reads several books and articles in the internet to support the information for the research. This research concludes that Kabar Alumni magazine Universitas Gadjah Mada passes some production process stages include planning stage, production stage and distribution stage. Moreover, in the production process there are challenges experienced by the production team. However, those challenges can be solved with a good team works.
