Hotel Resort di Pantai Siung dengan Pendekatan Nilai-Nilai Kearifan Lokal

Pertumbuhan pariwisata di Gunung Kidul akhir-akhir ini mengalami peningkatan. Banyak bermunculan wisata-wisata baru baik itu alam maupun buatan yang atraktif dan beragam di Gunung Kidul. Wisatawan yang datang berasal dari berbagai kalangan, yaitu kelas menengah ke atas dan kelas menengah ke bawah. Perkembangan pariwisata ini mendorong turut berkembangnya industri penginapan di Gunung Kidul. Namun industri penginapan ini baru sekedar penginapan untuk kelas menengah ke bawah berupa home stay atau hotel melati. Perancangan penginapan kelas menengah ke atas menjadi sesuatu yang penting untuk menunjang pariwisata di Gunung Kidul. Pantai Siung merupakan lokasi yang dipilih untuk lokasi dirancangnya hotel resort dengan alasan yaitu adanya Wisata Minat Khusus Safari Rural Karst. Sisi Pantai Siung yang dipilih menjadi site yaitu tebing sebelah timur dengan pertimbangan privasi, view, dan pengalaman ruang yang unik. Masalah perancangan yang kemudian akan diselesaikan adalah (a) view. Pemandangan dari tebing terdiri dari pantai, laut, tebing, bukit dan sawah, yang menjadi nilai tambah pada hotel resort dan diselesaikan dengan rancangan bangunan yang mampu memaksimalkan view melalui tata ruang dalam dan tata ruang luar. Dan yang kedua (b) terkait dengan pengalaman meruang yang unik. Lokasi di tebing ini dapat menjadi pengalaman meruang yang unik bagi pengunjungnya. Dari permasalahan tersebut, terpilih konsep split level building sebagai solusi masalah perancangan Hotel Resort di Pantai Siung. Dengan split level building pengalaman ruang yang unik serta view maksimal dari hampir semua bagian ruang akan dapat diselesaikan. Hotel Resort di Pantai Siung ini memanfaatkan elemen alam sebagai nilai utamanya sehingga perancangan dengan pendekatan Nilai-Nilai Kearifan Lokal diperlukan untuk menjaga agar alam tetap lestari dan keberlangsungan hotel resort tetap berjalan dengan baik.

The growth of tourism in Gunung Kidul is lately increasing. Many attractive and variative of both nature and non nature tourism destinations start to rise. The tourists come from any different background, from upper middle class to lower middle class. This growth of tourism encourages the development of lodging industry in Gunung Kidul. But the lodgings in Gunung Kidul today are only addressed to the lower middle class tourist, such as home stay and unclassified hotel. A plan of designing an upper middle class hotel in Gunung Kidul is needed for the sake of its tourism. Siung beach is the chosen area for the location of the resort hotel with its specific interest tourism destination, Safari Rural Karst. Side of Siung Beach chosen as the site is the cliff on east side of the beach with considerations of privacy, view, and unique space experience. The problems that have to be solved are (a) view. The view that can be enjoyed from the cliff are the view of coastal, ocean, other side cliff, hills, and field that be an added value of the resort hotel and will be solved by the building design that mamximizes the view through interior and exterior. And the second (b) related with the unique space experience. The site that located on the top of the cliff can be a unique space experience for the visitors. From these problems, split level building is chosen as the concept to solved them. With split level building, the purpose for making such an unique space experience and maximizing the view from bulding can be solved. Due to the use of nature as the main value of the resort hotel, local wisdom is chosen as the approach of the design to keep the nature save and keep the sustainibility if the hotel it self.
