Housekeeping Department merupakan salah satu bagian penting dalam suatu hotel. Department ini bertanggung jawab pada kebersihan, perawatan, dan kenyamanan seluruh bagian hotel, baik public area, kamar, dan linen. Di Hotel Puri Asri Magelang, Housekeeping Department dibagi menjadi beberapa section, diantaranya adalah public area, room boy, dan laundry. Public area bertanggungjawab pada kebersihan fasilitas dan ruang umum, room boy bertanggungjawab pada kebersihan kamar, dan laundry bertanggungjawab pada kebersihan linen. Laundry section bertugas untuk membersihkan house laundry dan guest laundry. House laundry adalah segala macam cucian milik hotel, sedangkan guest laundry adalah segala macam cucian milik tamu. Di dalam memproses cucian tersebut, dibutuhkan peralatan dan bahan khusus yang sesuai dengan jenis linen. Selain itu, proses pencucian pun berbeda tergantung dari jenis linen. Di dalam Tugas Akhir yang berjudul Inventarisasi Peralatan dan Bahan Laundry pada Laundry Section di Hotel Puri Asri membahas lebih jauh mengenai proses pencucian yang dilakukan oleh laundry section dari taking order hingga pengembalian baju atau linen kepada pihak tamu maupun hotel. Selain itu, dijelaskan pula mengenai peralatan dan bahan kimia yang digunakan selama proses pencucian.

Housekeeping Department is one important part of a hotel. This department is responsible for cleaning, maintenance, and comfort throughout the hotel, both public areas, rooms, and linen. The Hotel Puri Asri Magelang, Housekeeping Department is divided into several sections, including the public areas, room boy, and laundry. Public areas are responsible for the cleanliness of the facilities and public spaces, room boy responsible for the cleanliness of the room, and laundry responsible for the cleanliness of linen. Laundry section tasked to clean house and guest laundry facilities. House laundry are all kinds of laundry belonging to the hotel, while guest laundry are all kinds of laundry belonging to guests. In the washing process, it takes special equipment and materials appropriate to the type of linen. In addition, the washing process is different depending on the type of linen. The final project titled Inventory Equipment and Materials Section Laundry Laundry at the Hotel Puri Asri delve further into the washing process performed by the laundry section of taking orders until give back clothes or linens to the guest and the hotel. In addition, also explained about the equipment and chemicals used during the washing process.
