MASALAH-MASALAH SOSIAL DALAM NOVEL MAJUTSU WA SASAYAKU KARYA MITABE MIYUKI: ANALISIS SOAIOLOGI SASTRA

ABSTRAKSI Masalah-masalah Sosial dalam Novel Majutsu wa Sasayaku Karya Miyabe Miyuki: Analisis Sosiologi Sastra Anis Farida Pratamasari Majutsu wa Sasayaku karya Miyabe Miyuki merupakan sebuah novel yang berisi tentang permasalahan sosial yang terjadi pada masyarakat Jepang akhir zaman Shouwa, yaitu sekitar tahun 1970-1980. Novel ini menceritakan tentang perjuangan seorang anak bernama Mamoru dalam menghadapi permasalahan sosial yang terjadi di lingkungan tempat tinggalnya, yaitu Toukyou. Masalah-masalah tersebut meliputi kasus-kasus pengutilan, bullying, dan pembunuhan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keterkaitan antarunsur dalam membangun struktur makna karya sastra, untuk mengklasifikasikan realitas sosial historis yang tergambar dalam novel, serta menjelaskan respon pengarang dalam menyikapi masalah sosial yang terjadi dilihat dari novel Majutsu wa Sasayaku. Teori strukturalisme dan sosiologi sastra digunakan penulis dalam menganalisis novel Majutsu wa Sasayaku. Teori strukturalisme digunakan untuk menganalisis struktur karya ini khususnya tokoh dan penokohan, latar, serta tema; sedangkan sosiologi sastra digunakan untuk menganalisis permasalahan sosial dan kondisi masyarakat yang ada berdasarkan latar waktu dalam novel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya gambaran masalah-masalah sosial dalam novel Majutsu wa Sasayaku yang sesuai dengan 9 jenis masalah sosial (kemiskinan, kejahatan, disorganisasi keluarga, masalah generasi muda dalam masyarakat modern, peperangan, pelanggaran terhadap norma-norma masyarakat, masalah kependudukan, masalah lingkungan hidup, dan birokrasi) berdasarkan definisi dari Soerjono Soekanto, yaitu masalah kejahatan, disorganisasi keluarga, dan pelanggaran norma-norma masyarakat yang meliputi pelacuran, pengutilan, serta bullying. Gambaran masyarakat dalam novel tersebut sesuai dengan kondisi sosial masyarakat Jepang pada tahun 1970-1980.

ABSTRACT Social Problems in Majutsu wa Sasayaku Novel by Miyabe Miyuki: Literary Sociology Analysis Anis Farida Pratamasari “Majutsu wa Sasayaku”, is a novel by Miyabe Miyuki which tells the social problems happened to Japanese society during the end of the Shouwa period, in 1970-1980. This novel tells the struggle of a boy named Mamoru in facing social problems happened in his living environment, that is Tokyo. These problems include the cases of shoplifting, bullying, and homicide. The purpose of this study was to describe the relationship between elements in building the structure of meaning of literary works, to classify the historical social reality depicted in the novel, as well as explaining the author's response in addressing social problems that occur seen from novel Majutsu wa Sasayaku. Structuralism theory and sociological literature theory was used by the author in analyzing Majutsu wa Sasayaku. Structuralism theory was used for analyzing the structure of the novel, especially about its characterization, figure and background, and themes. Sociological literature theory was then used to analyze the social problems and conditions of Japanese society based on the setting of time in novel. The results of the research showed the description of social problems in Majutsu wa Sasayaku which was in accordance with 9 types of social problems (proverty, crime, family disorganization, problems of adolescents in modern society, warfare, violation the norms of socety, population problems, environmental issues, and bureaucracy) definition by Soerjono Soekanto, that is the problems of crime, family disorganization, and violation the norms of society which include prostitution, shoplifting and bullying. The condition of society described in the novel closely matches the conditions shown in records of Japanese society between 1970 and 1980.
