Evaluasi Pemanfaatan Online Public Access catalog (OPAC) di Perpustakaan Teknik Universitas Gadjah Mada

Perpustakaan merupakan tempat orang membaca dan mencari referensi dengan berbagai kategori buku. Perkembangan dunia perpustakaan didukung oleh perkembangan teknologi informasi. Hingga saat ini terdapat beberapa masalah perpustakaan yang coba didekati dengan menggunnakan teknologi informasi. OPAC menjadi salah satu sub sistem informasi yang memungkinkan pengaksesan online ke katalog sehingga dapat diakses oleh siapa saja dan kapan saja tanpa dibatasi ruang dan waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi sudah sejauh mana pemanfaatan OPAC di perpustakaan Fakultas Teknik berdasarkan teori Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) dengan variabel utama perceived Easy of Use (PEOU) dan perceived Usefullness ((PU). Objek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik yang menggunakan OPAC. Sampel berjumlah 100 orang dengan cara purposive random sampling. untuk pengujian hipotesis, penelitian ini menggunakan Boostrap dan uji t dengan menggunakan metode analisis Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Hasil Pengujian menunjukkan ada 6 hipotesis yang berpengaruh signifikan dan 4 hipotesis tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Adapun yang berpengaruh signifikan yaitu variabel job relevance, Terminologi clarity, perceived usefulness, perceived easy of use, intention to use, dan actual to use. Sedangkan yang variabel yang tidak berpengaruh signifikan yaitu subjective norm, self efficacy, user training, dan accessibility.

Library is a place for reading and looking for references. Recent improvement in library quality involves Information Technology. Some issues are handled with use of the technology. OPAC is one of sub system in Information Technology enabling online access to a librari catalogue for everyone without time and space limitation. This research was intended to evaluate the OPAC usage in Faculty of Engineering Library based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), especially focusing on Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) and Perceived Usefulness (PU) variables. The object of this study is that engineering students using the OPAC. The sample of 100 students by means of purposive random sampling. for testing hypotheses, this study uses boostrap and t test analysis method of Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Result of examination show there six (6) hypothesis having an effect on significant and four (4) hypothesis not have an effect on significant. variable significant that is subjective is job relevance, terminology clarity, perceived usefulness, perceived easy of use, intention to use, actual to use. And variable not significant that is subjective norm, self efficacy, user training, and accessibility.
