CERMINAN ZAMAN KOLONIAL: ANALISIS SOSIOLOGI SASTRA PADA NOVEL SOEKARNO KUANTAR KE GERBANG KARYA RAMADHAN K.H

Penelitian ini menggunakan novel Soekarno Kuantar ke Gerbang (SKKG) karya Ramadhan K.H sebagai objek material dan teori sosiologi sastra Swingewood sebagai objek formal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cerminan zaman kolonial dan situasi sosial pengarang dalam melatarbelakangi penciptaan novel SKKG. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis, yaitu mendeskripsikan fakta-fakta dan dilanjutkan dengan analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel SKKG terdapat cerminan zaman yang terbagi atas dua masa, yaitu pada masa kekuasaan Belanda dan masa kekuasaan Jepang. Pada masa kekuasaan Belanda cerminan zaman yang dapat ditemukan, antara lain, terjadi pemberontakan, penyiksaan, dan penangkapan terhadap rakyat Indonesia. Ketika pergantian pemerintahan, pada masa kekuasaan Jepang, rakyat Indonesia mendapatkan perlakuan yang lebih parah dari pemerintahan sebelumnya. Melalui novel SKKG, pengarang juga ingin memperkenalkan dan memberitahukan gagasannya mengenai cerminan zaman kolonial yang terjadi di Indonesia. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam novel SKKG terdapat usaha pengarang untuk memperlihatkan, memperkenalkan, dan memberitahukan cerminan zaman kolonial di Indonesia. Pengarang memperlihatkan cerminan zaman tersebut dengan cara menuangkan ide-ide cerita berdasarkan permasalahan yang terjadi di Indonesia sebelum kemerdekaan. Pengarang juga menceritakan kegelisahan-kegelisahan pikirannya yang terkait permasalahan sosial bangsanya melalui tokoh Soekarno sebagai tokoh utama. Penulis menonjolkan tokoh-tokoh terpelajar untuk menyuarakan keinginan rakyat Indonesia mengenai kebebasan dan kesetaraan untuk mereka.

This study uses a novel Soekarno Kuantar Ke Gerbang (SKKG) by Ramadhan K.H as a material object and Swingewood sociology of literature theory as a formal object. This research aims to identify reflection the colonial era and the social situation of the author that cause the creation of SKKG novel. The data analysis is conducted by using the descriptive analysis method, i.e. describing the facts and continued by the analysis. The result of this research presents that the SKKG novel has the era reflection that is divided into two periods, they are: The era of power the Dutch and the era of power Japanese. In the era of power the Dutch, some era reflection that can be discovered are the rebellion, the torture, and the seizure toward the Indonesian people. When the change of reign transformed into the era of power the Japanese, the Indonesian people were treated more badly than the previous reign. By the SKKG, the author also wants to introduce and inform his ideas about the reflection the colonial era in Indonesia. Based on this study, it can be concluded that SKKG novel involves the attempt of its author in showing, introducing, and telling about reflection the colonial era. The author shows the era reflection by elaborating ideas of the story based on the issues that occured before the independence. Moreover, the author tells his mind anxieties related to the social problems of his people through Soekarno figure as the main character. Lastly, the author highlights all the educated figures in order to express the desire of Indonesian people about the freedom and the equality for them.
