Hubungan antara cara didik orangtua dan guru dengan kepercayaan diri siswa pada SMA Katolik Giovanni Kupang-NTT

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara cara didik orangtua dan guru terhadap tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode angket dengan teknik proportional sampling terhadap 120 orang siswa kelas 3 SMA Katolik Giovanni, di Kupang, NTT. Mereka terdiri dari 70 orang perempuan dan 50 orang laki-laki. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Ada korelasi negatif yang sangat signifikan antara cara didik dengan kekerasan dari orangtua dan guru terhadap tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa (R = 0,322; F = 6,775; P = 0,002). (2) Secara parsial ada korelasi negatif yang sangat signifikan antara cara didik orangtua dengan kekerasan terhadap tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa (r = -0,262; P = 0,004). (3) Secara parsial ada korelasi negatif tetapi tidak signifikan, antara cara didik guru dengan kekerasan terhadap tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa (r = -0,092; P = 0,321). The aim of this research is to identify the relation between parents and teachers' ways of educating and the level of children's self confidence. Data obtained through a questionnaire and proportional sampling technique. The subjects of this research are students of Catholic Giovanni High School of Kupang, NIT. From a total of 120 students, 70 are female and 50 are male. All students are third year students. Research results show the following: (1) There is a very significant negative correlation between the way parents and teachers use to educate children/ students using violence and the level of child/ student self confidence (R = 0,322; F = 6,775; P = 0,002). (2) Partially, there is a very significant negative correlation between the way parents use to educate children using violence and child self confidence (r = -0,262; P = 0,004). (3) Partially, there is a negative but not significant correlation between the way teachers use to educate students using violence and student self confidence (r = - 0,092; p = 0,321).
