This study aims to analyze the sentiment of Ganjar Pranowo's public communication on social media platform X and to examine its influence on electability in the 2024 general election. Data were collected from September 5, 2023 to February 2, 2026 using 9 hashtags related to Ganjar Pranowo, yielding 20,111 tweet data. After going through the pre-processing stage, negative sentiment was found to be more dominant (60.1%) than positive sentiment (39.9%). The performance of three algorithms showed that SVM outperformed Random Forest and Naive Bayes. The negative sentiment ratio was then tested for its influence on electability data from national survey institutions for the period of September 2023 to February 2024 through Pearson correlation tests, simple linear regression, and t-tests. The test results show a positive and significant correlation between the negative sentiment ratio and electability (r = 0.834; p = 0.039; R² = 0.696). These findings indicate that negative sentiment in this study is interpreted as an indicator of the intensity of public exposure to the candidate, rather than as direct evidence of electoral rejection.
