The sherpa community plays a significant role in Nepal's climbing tourism industry. However, their representation in climbing literature remains minimal. Furthermore, the Sherpa community continues to experience exploitation and objectification within their industry. This constitutes a social injustice that Nirmal Purja seeks to address through his Project Possible 14/7 climbing expedition. Based on the dialectical-relational Critical Discourse Analysis methodology, this study identifies the dominance of colonial discourse in Nepal's tourism industry, hindering the resolution of social injustices. Based on these findings, this study then investigates the success of Project Possible 14/7 as a form of resistance. As a reference, Homi Bhabha's concept of colonial mimicry is used to formulate an ideal form of resistance by presenting a counter-narrative to the discourse of colonialism. This is not done in Project Possible. Instead, it reproduces the colonial discourse it seeks to oppose. Thus, Project Possible fails as a form of resistance.
