Visualisasi Mindless Scrolling dan Brainrot melalui Film Pendek "Rot In Pixels" (Perspektif Penulis Naskah pada Produksi Film Fiksi)

Laporan tugas akhir ini membahas proses penciptaan film pendek fiksi Rot In Pixels (2026) dari perspektif penulis naskah. Film ini mengangkat isu mindless scrolling dan brainrot sebagai fenomena yang muncul akibat meningkatnya konsumsi konten digital berdurasi pendek di media sosial. Melalui genre psychological-thriller dan konsep one-set movie, cerita berfokus pada konflik antara Dr. Bambang, seorang psikiater, asistennya Andrea, dan pasien bernama Samsul yang mengalami dampak buruk dari teknologi bernama Pixels. Proses penciptaan karya meliputi tahap praproduksi, produksi, dan pascaproduksi. Penulis naskah berkontribusi dalam pencetusan ide cerita, pengembangan naskah, pengambilan gambar, penyuntingan, hingga distribusi. Laporan ini juga berisi refleksi tantangan penulis naskah dalam mengembangkan cerita, proses penerjemahan isu sosial ke dalam narasi film, serta pentingnya kedekatan penulis naskah dengan isu yang diangkat. Hasil akhir menunjukkan bahwa film berhasil menyampaikan pesan yang relevan dan memperoleh respons positif dari audiens.

The development of the fictional short film Rot In Pixels (2026) is covered in this final project report from the perspective of the screenwriter. The movie discusses brainrot and mindless scrolling as phenomena brought on by the rise in short-form digital information consumption on social media. Using a psychological-thriller genre and the concept of a one-set film, the story revolves around a conflict between Dr. Bambang, a psychiatrist; his assistant, Andrea; and a patient named Samsul, who are experiencing the negative effects of a technology called Pixels. The creative process encompassed the pre-production, production, and post-production stages. The screenwriter contributed to the conception of the story idea, script development, filming, editing, and distribution. Reflections on the difficulties of the screenwriter in crafting the plot, the process of incorporating social themes into the storyline of the movie, and the significance of the screenwriter's personal connection to the topics covered are also included in this report. The final result shows that the film successfully conveyed a relevant message and received a positive response from the audience.
