Analisis Pemenuhan Kebutuhan Informasi bagi Pengguna terhadap Layanan Naskah Kuno di Museum Negeri Sonobudoyo Yogyakarta

Proyek Akhir ini menganalisis bagaimana pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi bagi pengguna terhadap Layanan Naskah Kuno di Museum Sonobudoyo. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan informasi pengguna, menganalisis upaya Museum Sonobudoyo dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi tersebut, serta mengetahui kesan dan pengalaman pengguna setelah memanfaatkan Layanan Naskah Kuno di Museum Sonobudoyo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Analisis pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pengguna dianalisis menggunakan teori perilaku Wilson yang meliputi information seeking behavior, information searching behavior, dan information use behavior.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Layanan Naskah Kuno di Museum Sonobudoyo telah mampu memenuhi kebutuhan informasi pengguna. Pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pengguna didukung oleh faktor ketersediaan informasi, aksesibilitas informasi, serta peran petugas layanan. Penelitian ini juga menemukan beberapa kendala yang dihadapi pengguna, seperti keterbatasan akses di luar museum, kualitas tampilan naskah digital, serta keterbatasan operasional layanan pada kondisi tertentu. Namun secara keseluruhan, berbagai kendala tersebut tidak mengurangi fungsi Layanan Naskah Kuno Museum Sonobudoyo sebagai sumber informasi yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna.

This final project examines how the Manuscript Service at Museum Sonobudoyo fulfills users’ information needs. The objectives of this study are to identify users’ information needs, analyze the museum’s efforts to fulfill those needs, and explore users’ impressions and experiences after utilizing the service. This study employed a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The fulfillment of users’ information needs was analyzed using Wilson’s information behavior theory, which encompasses information seeking behavior, information searching behavior, and information use behavior.

The findings reveal that the Manuscript Service at Museum Sonobudoyo has been able to fulfill users’ information needs. This fulfillment is supported by the availability and accessibility of information, as well as the role of service staff in assisting users. The study also identified several obstacles encountered by users, including limited access to manuscripts outside the museum, limitations in the quality of digital manuscript displays, and operational constraints of the service under certain conditions. Nevertheless, these obstacles do not diminish the role of the Ancient Manuscript Service as an information source capable of meeting users’ information needs.
