Femicide, or the murder of women, is a significant problem of gender violence worldwide, including in Indonesia. However, physical death does not necessarily end the violence experienced by victims. Reporting and discussion of femicide cases in the media often prolong the violence through the circulation of biased, exploitative, and unfair digital discourse, creating a symbolic "repeated death." Femicide incidents are reconstructed in the digital space using misogynistic narratives and sensational audio-visual displays. This research focuses on the "red suitcase" femicide case that occurred in East Java in 2025 by highlighting the representation of content and public interactivity on TikTok social media. This research aims to reveal the practice of continued gender injustice through the reproduction of gender bias and patriarchal ideology and the emergence of counternarratives in digital discourse using Michelle M. Lazar's FCDA theory. Then, reality simulation uses Jean Baudrillard's theory and the formation of meaning and truth in the case uses Michel Foucault's theory of power relations. The research uses qualitative methods with Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis approach to examine the dimensions of text, discursive practices, and socio-cultural practices of discourse. The primary research data was obtained from 23 TikTok content pieces with varying types and themes, along with related comments. The results show that the representation and interactivity of the cases contain gender bias, narratives of power and violence, and the silencing and erasure of women's subjectivity. On the other hand, various forms of resistance were also found through counternarratives that challenge the dominant discourse. The research findings also demonstrate the shift in the reality of the event into a digital image produced and circulated through discursive practices and the logic of visibility on the TikTok platform. In this context, institutional power relations and the socio-cultural participation of digital communities contribute to the structural and systematic normalization of violence against women. Therefore, critical awareness and collective efforts are needed to prevent the ongoing reproduction of gender violence within the discourse of femicide in digital spaces.
