Transfiksionalitas dalam Novel Kereta Semar Lembu Karya Zaky Yamani: Kajian Naratologi Marie-Laure Ryan

Transfiksionalitas merupakan fenomena naratif yang melibatkan hubungan antara dua teks atau lebih untuk mengeksplorasi elemen-elemen fiksi, yang dalam penelitian ini dipahami sebagai pertemuan dan perpindahan elemen-elemen fiksi lintas teks yang membentuk dunia cerita baru, sebagaimana tampak dalam Kereta Semar Lembu (KSL) karya Zaky Yamani yang memadukan realisme perburuhan dengan mistisisme Jawa melalui tokoh Semar Lembu yang mampu melihat dimensi arwah di sepanjang jalur rel masa kolonial.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan fenomena transfiksi yang terjadi, menjelaskan aksesibilitas antar elemen fiksi, dan menjelaskan pengaruh transfiksi terhadap pembentukan dunia fiksional dalam novel Kereta Semar Lembu. Penelitian ini disajikan secara kualitatif dengan penyampaian deskripsi-naratif. Analisis dilakukan secara induktif, dimulai pada pembacaan novel oleh peneliti, Kemudian proses analisis tersebut akan dilakukan bersamaan dengan pengumpulan dokumen berupa sumber sekunder (artikel-artikel dan buku-buku teks karya sastra lainnya).

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kereta Semar Lembu membangun dunia fiksional melalui empat mekanisme utama: ekspansi, modifikasi, transposisi, dan crossover. Ekspansi muncul lewat kisah-kisah prakonflik yang melibatkan dewa-dewi dan berlokasi di dimensi luar jangkauan manusia. Modifikasi dilakukan dengan menulis ulang dan mengembangkan bagian tertentu, terutama melalui interaksi Lembu dengan tokoh seperti Uma dan Mbok Min. Transposisi hadir dalam tiga bentuk: perpindahan medium, reinkarnasi, serta perwujudan dan penyamaran. Selain itu, terdapat crossover tidak langsung yang menghubungkan dunia KSL dengan teks lain melalui sosok Syiwa sebagai pengikat naratif dan konseptual, sehingga KSL membentuk dunia alternatif yang menautkan elemen-elemen fiksi lintas teks secara paralel dan saling terhubung.

Transfictionality is a narrative phenomenon involving the relationship between two or more texts to explore fictional elements, which in this study is understood as the meeting and transfer of fictional elements across texts that form a new story world, as seen in Kereta Semar Lembu (KSL) by Zaky Yamani, which combines labor realism with Javanese mysticism through the character Semar Lembu, who is able to see the spirit dimension along the colonial railway tracks.

This study aims to describe the phenomenon of transfiction that occurs, explain the accessibility between fictional elements, and explain the influence of transfiction on the formation of the fictional world in the novel Kereta Semar Lembu. This research is presented qualitatively with descriptive narratives. The analysis is conducted inductively, beginning with the researcher's reading of the novel. The analysis process will then be carried out in conjunction with the collection of documents in the form of secondary sources (articles and other literary textbooks).

The results of the study show that Kereta Semar Lembu builds a fictional world through four main mechanisms: expansion, modification, transposition, and crossover. Expansion occurs through pre-conflict stories involving gods and goddesses and set in dimensions beyond human reach. Modification is carried out by rewriting and developing certain parts, especially through Lembu's interactions with characters such as Uma and Mbok Min. Transposition comes in three forms: medium transfer, reincarnation, and manifestation and disguise. In addition, there is an indirect crossover that connects the world of KSL with other texts through the figure of Shiva as a narrative and conceptual link, so that KSL forms an alternative world that connects elements of fiction across texts in a parallel and interconnected manner.
