DAMPAK PEMBANGUNAN KAMPUS III UNIVERSITAS ISLAM NEGERI SALATIGA TERHADAP KONDISI SOSIAL, EKONOMI, DAN KERUANGAN DI KELURAHAN BLOTONGAN, KOTA SALATIGA

Pembangunan Kampus III Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Salatiga membawa perubahan signifikan terhadap wilayah di sekitarnya, khususnya Kelurahan Blotongan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana dampak kampus terhadap kawasan sekitar dan bagaimana persepsi masyarakat terhadap keberadaan kampus tersebut. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, penelitian ini menganalisis dampak pembangunan kampus dalam tiga aspek: keruangan, sosial, dan ekonomi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan Kampus III UIN Salatiga mendorong alih fungsi lahan, peningkatan aktivitas ekonomi informal, serta perubahan struktur sosial masyarakat. Terdapat pula pergeseran mata pencaharian masyarakat dari sektor agraris ke sektor jasa. Meskipun terdapat manfaat ekonomi dan sosial yang dirasakan, hubungan kampus dengan masyarakat sekitar masih bersifat parsial dan belum merata. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya penguatan peran kampus sebagai agen penggerak pembangunan kawasan secara inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

The construction of Campus III of the State Islamic University (UIN) Salatiga has brought significant changes to the surrounding area, particularly Blotongan Village. This study aims to examine the extent of the campus’s impact on the surrounding region and to explore local community perceptions regarding its presence. Employing a qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and documentation, this research analyzes the impacts of the campus development across three dimensions: spatial, social, and economic. The findings reveal that the establishment of Campus III UIN Salatiga has driven land-use conversion, increased informal economic activities, and transformed the community’s social structure. Moreover, there has been a shift in livelihoods from the agricultural sector to service-oriented sectors. Although the economic and social benefits are evident, the connectiom of the campus with the local community remains partial and uneven. Therefore, efforts are needed to strengthen the campus’s role as a catalyst for inclusive and sustainable regional development.
