Pengaruh Financial Development Terhadap Foreign Direct Investment di Indonesia

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh financial development terhadap Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan data kuartalan runtut waktu dengan periode waktu 2010Q1-2023Q4, dengan model Autoregressive Distributed Lag. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan variabel kontrol antara lain, inflasi, emisi karbon, dan financial inclusion untuk melihat pengaruhnya pada FDI. Berdasar pada estimasi yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan hasil bahwa financial development secara signifikan memiliki hubungan positif terhadap FDI. Namun, dalam jangka pendek tidak ditemukan adanya signifikansi hubungan antara kedua variabel tersebut. Implikasi dari penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mengenai pentingnya pertumbuhan financial development dengan perbaikan pada aspek kedalaman, efisiensi, aksesibilitas, dan stabilitas. Pertumbuhan financial development akan menjadi daya tarik FDI, sehingga akan tercipta lingkungan investasi yang berkelanjutan. 

This study aims to see the effect of financial development on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Indonesia. This study uses quarterly time-series data with a period of 2010Q1-2023Q4, with the Autoregressive Distributed Lag model. This study also uses control variables including inflation, carbon emissions, and financial inclusion to see their effects on FDI. Based on the estimates that have been made, the results show that financial development has a significant positive relationship with FDI. However, in the short term, there is no significant relationship between the two variables. The implications of this study provide insight into the importance of financial development growth with improvements in aspects of depth, efficiency, accessibility, yand stability. The growth of financial development will be an attraction for FDI, so that a sustainable investment environment will be created.
