The sustainability of a company is determined not only by its financial capability but also by its ability to respond to social and environmental challenges arising in its operational areas. One of the approaches used to address these challenges is the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). PT Kalimantan Prima Persada, as a company operating in the mining sector, faces specific challenges related to maintaining the conduciveness of its operational areas. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The findings of this study indicate that the company implements a CSR strategy based on four pillars. This strategy is analyzed using Galbreath’s (2014) framework, which includes six elements: (1) goal, (2) vehicles, (3) measurement, (4) benefactors, (5) benefits, and (6) time frame. These elements demonstrate that the CSR approach adopted by the company is reciprocal, aiming to balance business interests with social concerns. This approach is particularly relevant for mining companies operating in areas with complex social dynamics, where operational success greatly depends on achieving social acceptance as part of efforts to ensure long-term corporate stability.
