Implikasi Ekonomi Pembangunan Infrastruktur Bandara Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) Terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi dan Kemiskinan Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY)

Urgensi dari adanya penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana implikasi ekonomi pembangunan infrastruktur Bandara YIA terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi secara makro dan kemiskinan di kabupaten/kota Provinsi DIY. Penelitian mengenai dampak pembangunan Bandara YIA telah dilakukan oleh beberapa peneliti sebelumnya, namun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperkaya kajian tersebut dengan memperbarui cakupan tahun analisis, pendekatan metode, serta memperluas ruang lingkup variabel melalui lima indikator ekonomi makro, yaitu Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka (TPT), Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD), belanja modal, Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM), dan keberadaan bandara. Analisis dilakukan secara simultan untuk melihat sejauh mana pembangunan ekonomi Bandara YIA memengaruhi kemiskinan dan pertumbuhan ekonomi wilayah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Two Stage Least Square (2SLS) dengan model simultan. Data sekunder berupa data tahunan,  tahun 2016-2024, dan data crossectional 5 kabupaten di DIY

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan ekonomi dipengaruhi secara negatif oleh kemiskinan, sedangkan variabel lainnya tidak terbukti. Tingkat kemiskinan dipengaruhi secara negatif oleh PAD, sedangkan pertumbuhan ekonomi tidak berdampak langsung terhadap penurunan kemiskinan. Uji simultan menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan dua arah yang signifikan antara pertumbuhan ekonomi dan kemiskinan. Namun terdapat pengaruh yang kuat antara kemiskinan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya kebijakan pembangunan yang inklusif, yaitu kebijakan yang melibatkan seluruh kelompok masyarakat dan wilayah terdampak, sehingga pembangunan infrastruktur membawa manfaat yang merata dan tidak hanya berpusat pada daerah tertentu.

The urgency of this study is to understand the economic implications of the development of YIA Airport infrastructure on macroeconomic growth and poverty in the districts/cities of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. Previous studies have examined the impact of YIA Airport development on economic growth, yet this study aims to enrich the existing literature by updating the analysis period, applying a different methodological approach, and expanding the scope of variables through five macroeconomic indicators, namely the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT), Regional Original Revenue (PAD), regional spending, Human Development Index (HDI), and the existence of the airport itself. The analysis is conducted simultaneously to examine the extent to which the economic development of YIA Airport affects poverty and regional economic growth. This study employs the Two Stage Least Square (2SLS) analysis method using E-Views software and a simultaneous model. The secondary data is in the form of annual data for 2016-2024 and crossectional data of 5 districts in DIY.

The results of the study indicate that economic growth is negatively influenced by poverty, while other variables are not proven to be significant. The poverty rate is negatively influenced by PAD, while economic growth does not have a direct impact on reducing poverty. Simultaneous tests show no significant two way relationship between economic growth and poverty. However there is a strong influenced of poverty on economic growth. This finding emphasizes the importance of inclusive development policies, namely policies that involve all segments of society and affected regions, so that infrastructure development delivers equitable benefits and does not concentrate only in certain areas.
