Inferiority Complex Tokoh Utama "Fata al-Muqaranati" dalam Antologi La Tuladu Qabihan Karya Raja` 'Alaisy: Analisis Psikologi Sastra

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan inferiority complex tokoh utama pada cerpen “Fata al-Muqaranati” dalam antologi La Tuladu Qabihan yang meliputi gejala, dan penyebab inferiority complex, serta kompensasi yang dilakukan oleh tokoh utama. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah cerpen “Fata al-Muqaranati” karya Raja` ‘Alaisy, penulis asal Mesir. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan dua teori, yaitu teori struktural dan teori psikologi sastra. Teori struktural digunakan untuk mengetahui dan mengidentifikasi tokoh utama dan penokohannya. Adapun teori psikologi sastra digunakan untuk mengetahui kondisi psikologis abnormal yang dialami oleh tokoh utama pada cerpen “Fata al-Muqaranati” yang meliputi gejala, dan penyebab inferiority complex, serta kompensasi yang dilakukan oleh tokoh utama.

Berdasarkan analisis struktural diketahui bahwa tokoh utama adalah “Dia”, seorang mahasiswa laki-laki yang mengalami kondisi psikologis abnormal inferiority complex. Penyebab inferiority complex yang dialami “Dia” adalah organic inferiority yang membuatnya merasa tidak berdaya, dan diperparah dengan pertemanan yang tidak sehat serta pelabelan negatif dari orang lain. Gejala yang tampak pada “Dia” adalah menganggap tubuh sebagai beban, curiga terhadap orang lain, memiliki kecenderungan untuk menarik diri, serta pesimis dan merasa terjebak dalam sebuah kondisi. Kompensasi yang dilakukan oleh “Dia” adalah belajar bermain piano dan melukis.

This study aims to reveal the inferiority complex of the main character in the short story “Fata al-Muqaranati” from the anthology La Tuladu Qabihan, which includes the symptoms and causes of the inferiority complex, as well as the compensations carried out by the main character. The data source of this research is the short story “Fata al-Muqaranati” written by Raja` ‘Alaisy, an author from Egypt. This study utilizes two theories, namely structural theory and literary psychology theory. Structural theory is used to identify the main character and their characterization. Literary psychology theory is used to understand the abnormal psychological condition experienced by the main character in “Fata al-Muqaranati”, which including the symptoms and causes of the inferiority complex, as well as the compensatory behaviors exhibited by the character.

Based on structural analysis, it is found that the main character is “He”, a male university student who suffers from an abnormal psychological condition known as inferiority complex. The cause of his inferiority complex is organic inferiority, which makes him feel powerless, further worsened by toxic friendships and negative labeling from others. The symptoms observed in “He” include perceiving his body as a burden, being suspicious of others, having a tendency to withdraw, as well as being pessimistic and feeling trapped in a situation. The compensations undertaken by “He” include learning to play the piano and painting.
