Pengembangan Bisnis Potato Twisted Donut "Bakekarya"

Donat merupakan camilan populer di Indonesia yang umumnya berbahan dasar tepung terigu. Namun, ketergantungan terhadap tepung terigu yang menyebabkan impor gandum di Indonesia tinggi, mendorong perlunya substitusi bahan baku untuk menurunkan ketergantungan gandum. Kentang menjadi salah satu alternatif yang potensial karena mampu meningkatkan tekstur donat serta memperlambat proses staling. Selain itu, tren konsumsi camilan manis dan pengaruh budaya luar di Indonesia membuka peluang bagi produk inovatif Korean Twisted Donut. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bisnis potato twisted donut dengan merek “Bakekarya” yang menawarkan keunikan dalam bentuk dan kompisisi bahan.

Metode yang digunakan mencakup analisis pasar, strategi pemasaran, serta evaluasi kelayakan bisnis melalui aspek keuangan dan operasional. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa inovasi bentuk pada donat tidak secara langsung mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian konsumen. Namun, keinginan untuk mencoba sesuatu yang baru serta strategi pemasaran yang efektif, baik melalui media sosial maupun penjualan langsung, berkontribusi pada peningkatan daya tarik konsumen. Dalam periode lima bulan, usaha ini berhasil menjual lebih dari 500 produk dengan omzet sebesar Rp2.809.900. Evaluasi kelayakan usaha menunjukkan nilai Net Present Value (NPV) > 0 dan Benefit-Cost Ratio (B/C) > 1, menandakan bahwa bisnis ini layak untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut.

Donuts are a popular snack in Indonesia, typically made from wheat flour. However, the country's high dependence on wheat flour, which leads tto increased wheat imports, highlight the need for alternative ingredients to reduce reliance on wheat. Potatoes emerge as a potential alternative due to their ability to enhance donut texture and slow down the staling process. Additionally, the growing trend of sweet snack consumption and the influence of foreign cultures in Indonesia create opportunities for innovative products such as Korean Twisted Donuts. Based on these factors, this final project aims to develop a potato-based twisted donut business under the brand "Bakekarya" offering uniqueness in both shape and ingredient composition.

The methodology includes market analysis, marketing strategy evaluation, and business feasibility assessment based on financial and operational aspects. The results indicate that the innovation in donut shape does not directly influence consumer purchasing decisions. However, consumers’ curiosity to try new products, combined with effective marketing strategies through social media and direct sales, significantly enhances product appeal. Over five months, the business successfully sold more than 500 products, generating a revenue of IDR 2,809,900. The business feasibility evaluation shows a Net Present Value (NPV) > 0 and a Benefit-Cost Ratio (B/C) > 1, indicating that the venture is viable for further development.
