Tujuan dari tesis ini adalah untuk melakukan analisis kelayakan bisnis terhadap remanufaktur komponen lokomotif di Indonesia. Studi ini dilakukan dengan metode tinjauan literatur menggunakan pendekatan Semi-Sistematis pada dua aspek utama. Aspek pertama adalah strategi perusahaan dan ruang lingkup pekerjaan. Ruang lingkup ini mencakup analisis pasar, analisis bahan baku dan pasokan, analisis lokasi dan situs bengkel, analisis operasi bengkel, serta analisis organisasi. Aspek kedua adalah kelayakan investasi berdasarkan parameter kriteria keuangan. Studi pada aspek keuangan digunakan untuk mengevaluasi profitabilitas pusat remanufaktur dengan menggunakan parameter berikut: Net Present Value (NPV), Payback Period (PP), Return on Investment (ROI), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), dan Profitability Index (PI).

Selama periode lima tahun, proyek ini diproyeksikan mencapai NPV sebesar USD 1,3 juta, ROI sebesar 492%, dan IRR sebesar 171%, yang melebihi biaya modal. Selain itu, proyek ini memiliki PI sebesar 4,91 serta periode pengembalian yang relatif singkat, yaitu kurang dari dua tahun, jauh lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan jangka waktu proyek yang direncanakan yaitu lima tahun. Analisis keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa proyek ini memiliki potensi nilai ekonomi yang layak untuk dikembangkan. 

The objective of this thesis is to conduct a business feasibility analysis of the remanufacturing of locomotive component in Indonesia. The study was conducted using a literature review method with a Semi-Systematic approach on two aspects. The first is the aspect of the corporate strategies and scope of work. These scope highlight the market analysis, raw material and supplies analysis, workshop location and site analysis, Workshop Operation Analysis, and organizational analysis. The second is the feasibility of investment using financial criteria parameters Study on the financial aspect is used to evaluate the profitability of the remanufacturing centre using the following criteria as parameter; Nett Present Value (NPV), Payback Period, Rate of Investment (ROI), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Profitability Index (PI). 

Over a five-year period, this project is projected to achieve an NPV of USD 1.3 million, an ROI of 492%, and an IRR of 171%, exceeding the cost of capital. Additionally, it has a PI of 4.91 and a relatively short payback period of less than two years, significantly faster than the project timeline, which is planned for five years. The overall analysis shows potential economic value that deserves to be developed.
