Education is a right for all people that must be organised by all educational institutions in Indonesia. The implementation of inclusive education in higher education is a form of providing access to education for all people, both with and without disabilities. Inclusion defines disability not as someone who has special needs, but people with disabilities have different processes in carrying out activities and achieving achievements. According to Michael (2020), the unpreparedness of universities in providing services and physical facilities causes the quality of life of people with disabilities to tend to be low.
There is one university in Java that accepts students with disabilities, while according to Dikti data in 2022 that the university is not registered in universities that accept prospective students with disabilities. The efforts of Universitas Islam Indonesia in organising inclusive education both in services and physical facilities have been massively promoted, but there are still many obstacles experienced by Universitas Islam Indonesia in the process. Barriers such as mindset and funding are problems that must be resolved.
This study aims to determine the commitment, support, and obstacles in organising inclusive education. The research method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Researchers used data collection techniques with interviews, observation and documentation, from which the information was then analysed using SWOT analysis. The results of the SWOT analysis can be used to improve Universitas Islam Indonesia in organising inclusive education better.
