Nilai Sosial Masyarakat Lebanon dalam Novel Baridu Al-Lail Karya Hoda Barakat: Kajian Sosiologi Sastra

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai sosial yang terkandung di dalam novel Baridu al-Lail karya Hoda Barakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengungkap nilai sosial yang terkandung di dalam novel tersebut. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori nilai sosial dari Notonegoro. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode pengumpulan data teknik catat dengan novel Bar?du al-Lail sebagai objek penelitian. Data yang diperoleh diidentifikasi, diklasifikasi, dianalisis, dan disimpulkan dalam bentuk analisis deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai sosial yang terdapat dalam novel Baridu al-Lail  yaitu nilai material, nilai vital, dan nilai kerohanian. Nilai material meliputi makanan pokok, pakaian, dan uang. Nilai vital meliputi bendungan, kereta api, dan pengganti protein. Nilai kerohanian meliputi nilai kebenaran, yaitu kematian dan penyakit, nilai keindahan, yaitu kebahagiaan, nilai kebaikan, yaitu empati dan kebesaran jiwa, dan nilai religius, yaitu kitab suci dan tokoh dalam kitab suci. Semua nilai sosial muncul dalam novel Bar?du al-Lail dan secara riil ditemukan di masyarakat.

The question in this study is social values are contained in the novel Baridu al-Lail by Hoda Barakat. The purpose of this research is to reveal social values are contained in the novel. The theory that used in this research is the theory of social value by Notonegoro. This research was conducted with the data collection method of note-taking technique with the novel Baridu al-Lail as the object of research. The data obtained were identified, classified, analyzed, and concluded in descriptive analysis form. The results of the study show that the social values contained in the novel Bar?du al-Lail are material values, vital values, and spiritual values. Material values include staple food, clothes, and money. Vital values include dams, trains, protein replacer. Spiritual values include the value of truth, include death and disease, the value of beauty, include happiness, the value of kindness, include empathy and greatness of soul, and religious values, include the holy books and the characters in holy books. All of the social values is appear in the novel Bar?du al-Lail and are realistically found in society.
