MEMAKNAI INFORMASI DI WEBSITE MUSEUM: ANALISIS RESEPSI MURID SMP NEGERI 12 YOGYAKARTA TERHADAP WEBSITE MUSEUM MONUMEN YOGYA KEMBALI TAHUN 2024

Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis resepsi murid SMP terhadap website Museum Monumen Yogya Kembali (MMYK). Tema ini penting dilakukan, paling tidak untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang bagaimana generasi muda (murid SMP) merespons dan memahami warisan sejarah dan budaya lokal yang disajikan website. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (i) mendeskripsikan keberadaan MMYK di mata murid SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta dan (ii) memperoleh informasi untuk menyempurnakan website MMYK agar “ramah” terhadap murid SMP. Dengan menggunakan analisis Stuart Hall tentang memproduksi (encoding) dan menerima (decoding) subyek penelitian yang menyaksikan website meng-encode makna tertentu dalam teks yang ditampilkan MMYK.

Data yang diperoleh dengan mewawancarai secara mendalam lima murid kelas 9 SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta dianalisis melihat unsur “why” dan “how”. Hasilnya menunjukkan, pertama, kelima subyek penelitian memiliki pendapat yang sama tentang website MMYK, penampilannya bagus tapi agak sulit untuk mengakses informasinya. Kedua, kelima subyek penelitian senang memperoleh informasi tentang perjuangan tentara Jogja melawan tantara kolonial Belanda. Ketiga, soal tokoh yang disukai, kelima subyek penelitian punya pendapat yang berbeda. Empat orang menjawab Soeharto sebagai tokoh yang paling disukai dan satu orang, menganggap Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX sebagai yang paling disukai. Keempat, guru kelas 9 SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta tidak pernah mengajak muridnya mengunjungi website MMYK. Kelima, tidak semua guru menjadi guru yang demokratis. Keenam, kelima subyek penelitian merasa tidak memiliki kesadaran identitas sosio-kultural yang kuat setelah menyaksikan website MMYK.

Bertolak dari hasil penelitian ini, penulis menyarankan agar MMYK, pertama, MMYK mengikuti program Gerakan Nasional Cinta Museum (GNCM). Kedua, MMYK melakukan pemasaran digital yang terarah.

This research focuses on analyzing audience reception of the Yogya Return Monument Museum (MMYK) website. This theme is important, at least to gain a better understanding of how the younger generation responds to and understands local historical and cultural heritage presented through digital media. It is natural that this research aims to: (i) describe the existence of MMYK in the eyes of students at SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta and (ii) obtain information to improve the MMYK website so that it is "friendly" to SMP students. By using Stuart Hall's analysis of producing (encoding) and receiving (decoding) research subjects who watched the website encoded certain meanings in the text displayed by MMYK.

Data obtained by interviewing five grade 9 students at SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta in depth were analyzed looking at the "why" and "how" elements. The results show, first, the five research subjects have the same opinion about the MMYK website, its appearance is good but it is somewhat difficult to access the information. Second, the five research subjects enjoyed getting information about the struggle of the Jogja army against the Dutch colonial army. Third, regarding the characters they like, the five research subjects had different opinions. Four people answered that Suharto was the most liked figure and one person considered Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX the most liked. Fourth, the 9th grade teacher at SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta never invited his students to visit the MMYK website. Fifth, not all teachers are democratic teachers. Sixth, the five research subjects felt they did not have a strong sense of socio-cultural identity after viewing the MMYK website.

Based on the results of this research, the author suggests that MMYK, first, MMYK participate in the National Love Museum Movement (GNCM) program. Second, MMYK carries out targeted digital marketing.
