Signifikansi Puisi Suseonhwaege Karya Jeong Ho-Seung: Kajian Semiotika Riffaterre

Puisi “Suseonhwaege” ‘Kepada Bunga Narcissus’ adalah salah satu puisi modern Korea karya Jeong Ho-seung yang diterbitkan dalam antologi puisi berjudul “Oerounikka Saramida” pada tahun 1998. Puisi ini merupakan puisi Jeong Ho-seung yang menggunakan nama bunga. Untuk mengetahui maknanya, puisi ini dianalisis menggunakan teori semiotika Michael Riffaterre (1978). Berdasarkan teori ini, puisi dianalisis dengan dua tahap, yaitu pembacaan yaitu pembacaan heuristik untuk mengetahui makna puisi berdasarkan arti literalnya dan pembacaan hermeneutik untuk mengetahui makna puisi berdasarkan arti konotatif.

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat diketahui dalam pembacaan heuristik puisi ini menceritakan tentang kesepian dalam hidup, sedangkan pada pembacaan hermeneutik puisi ini menceritakan tentang penghiburan dari penyair untuk manusia yang merasa hidupnya kesepian agar menerima kesepian yang merupakan hakikat hidup. Puisi ini juga dapat diketahui bahwa menggunakan simbol suseonhwa ‘bunga narcissus’ untuk menggambarkan manusia yang kesepian. Oleh karena itu, dapat diketahui bahwa tema dari puisi “Suseonhwaege” adalah penghiburan.

The poem “Suseonhwaege” 'To Narcissus' is one of Jeong Ho-seung's modern Korean poems published in the poetry anthology titled “Oerounikka Saramida” in 1998. This poem is Jeong Ho-seung's poem that uses the name of a flower. To find out its meaning, this poem is analyzed using Michael Riffaterre's semiotic theory (1978). Through the semiotic theory of Michael Riffaterre (1978), this poem is analyzed with two stages of reading, namely heuristic reading to find out the meaning of the poem based on its literal meaning and hermeneutic reading to find out the meaning of the poem based on connotative meaning. 

Based on the results of this study, it can be seen that the heuristic reading of this poem tells about loneliness in life, while the hermeneutic reading of this poem tells about the comfort given by the poet for humans who feel their lives are lonely, in order to accept loneliness which is the essence of life. It can also be noticed that the poem uses the symbol of suseonhwa 'narcissus flower' to describe lonely humans. Therefore, it can be seen that the theme of the poem “Suseonhwaege” is consolation.
