Dunia, Agenda, dan Ideologi dalam Novel Perjalanan Mustahil Samiam dari Lisboa Karya Zaky Yamani: Analisis Sastra Perjalanan Carl Thompson

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penggambaran dunia, motivasi, agenda, dan ideologi pejalan dalam novel Perjalanan Mustahil Samiam dari Lisboa karya Zaky Yamani. Untuk menelaah bagian-bagian tersebut, landasan teori yang paling cocok untuk mengkaji penelitian ini ialah teori sastra perjalanan oleh Carl Thompson. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ini ialah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif.

Teori ini akan menekankan pada bagian-bagian dari cerita (dialog maupun narasi) yang memuat penggambaran dunia (secara objektif maupun subjektif), motivasi pejalan dalam melakukan perjalanannya, juga ideologi yang dibawa pejalan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggambaran dunia dari perjalanan pejalan di Semenanjung Eropa barat daya sebagian besar merupakan penggambaran dunia secara subjektif. Agenda yang muncul juga dibagi menjadi dua, yaitu yang memuat implikasi etis sekaligus implikasi politis. Implikasi etis muncul dari pejalan sejak kecil sampai ketika ia melakukan perjalanan. Implikasi politis muncul karena latar belakang poskolonial dari pejalan, perjalanannya untuk mencari tunangannya, juga perjalanannya untuk menjalankan misi dari organisasi Porto de Graal. Motivasi pejalan juga terkait pencarian jati diri dan pengungkapan sejarah tentang leluhur. Ideologi yang sering muncul ialah nasionalisme dan teisme yang disebabkan oleh latar belakang pejalan sebagai orang yang lahir di Portugal dan beragama Kristen.

This research aims to examine the depiction of the world, motivations, agendas and ideologies of travelers in the novel Perjalanan Mustahil Samiam dari Lisboa by Zaky Yamani. To examine these parts, the most suitable theoretical basis for studying this research is the theory of travel literature by Carl Thompson. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive research method.

This theory will emphasize the parts of the story (dialogue and narrative) which contain a depiction of the world (objectively or subjectively), the traveler's motivation in making his journey, as well as the ideology carried by the traveler. The research results show that depictions of the world from pedestrians' journeys in the southwest European peninsula are mostly subjective depictions of the world. The agenda that emerged was also divided into two, namely those containing ethical implications as well as political implications. Ethical implications arise from travelers from childhood until when they travel. Political implications arise due to the postcolonial background of the walker, his journey to find his fiancé, as well as his journey to carry out the mission of the Porto de Graal organization. The walker's motivation is also related to the search for identity and revealing the history of ancestors. The ideology that often emerges is nationalism and theism which is caused by the traveler's background as a person who was born in Portugal and is a Christian.
