Sub-Kultur Punk Ditinjau dari Perspektif The Great Refusal Herbert Marcuse: Analisis Kritis Atas Eksistensi Komunitas Punk di Malang Raya

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Filsafat Sosial,Politik, dan Kebudayaan. Berangkat dari eksplorasi nilai dalam ekosistem Komunitas Sub-kultur Punk Malang Raya dan Hipotesis penelitian bahwa Ekosistem subkultur punk Malang Raya mengafirmasi eksplorasi pemuasan kebutuhan sebagai bentuk dekonstruksi normativitas budaya, Penelitian ini berupaya menjelaskan perkembangan agen dan institusi dalam membentuk ekosistem komunitas Sub-kultur Punk di Malang Raya, menjelaskan nilai yang eksis dalam perkembangan komunitas Sub-kultur Punk di Malang Raya. Data perkembangan agen dan komunitas dalam ekosistem sub-kultur Punk Malang Raya akan di analisa dengan salah satu tesis kritis Herbert Marcuse yaitu The Great Refusal.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskripsi kualitatif dengan model penelitian pandangan filosofis di lapangan. Objek material adalah subkultur punk Malang Raya yang digali dari observasi lapangan berupa kolektif, scene (komunitas), pertunjukan musik atau konser dan wawancara dari Musisi, pegiat musik, dan pelaku dalam komunitas. Objek material akan dianalisis dengan teori The Great Refusal, Herbert Marcuse. Hasil dari analisa akan dibedah dalam empat tipologi yaitu: Scene (komunitas dan ekosistem sosial), Musik (Ekosistem Ekonomi dan produk estetik), Ideologi (Pemikiran), dan Fesyen.

Penelitian ini menghasilkan tiga kesimpulan yaitu: pertama, perkembangan Ekosistem komunitas Sub-kultur Punk Malang Raya dibagi dalam tiga periode yaitu generasi pertama (1996-2003), Generasi kedua (2008-2017), dan Punk Hari Ini (2018-kini). Kedua, dalam perkembangan ekosistem komunitas Sub-kultur Punk di Malang Raya, terdapat empat nilai pembentuk sub-kultur yaitu Scene (komunitas dan relasi sosial), Musik (komoditas, estetika, dan modus produksi), Ideologi (pemikiran), dan Fesyen (identitas dan ekspresi simbolik). Ketiga, dalam analisa kritis perspektif The Great Refusal, Scene sub-kultur Punk Malang Raya merupakan perwujudan dari Penolakan Yang Agung muncul sebagai respons terhadap surplus represi dalam proses historis Masyarakat Industri Maju. Musik sub-kultur Punk Malang Raya mencerminkan dimensi estetik yang mengalami transformasi dalam upaya merepresentasikan kehendak otentik individu. Sub-kultur Punk Malang Raya secara konsisten menunjukkan bahwa ideologi bukan sebagai cita-cita atau panduan melainkan kerja-kerja materialistik. Keempat, Fesyen dalam sub-kultur Punk Malang Raya inkonsistensi sebagai bentuk The Great Refusal karena berfungsi sebagai ekspresi liberatif dan menjadi ruang dalam perluasan Masyarakat Industri Maju. Kesimpulan tersebut memberi jawaban bahwa Hipotesis penelitian tidak sepenuhnya benar.

This research is research on Social, Political and Cultural Philosophy. Starting from the exploration of values in the Malang Raya Punk Sub-cultural Community ecosystem and the research hypothesis that the Malang Raya punk sub-cultural ecosystem affirms the exploration of need satisfaction as a form of deconstruction of cultural normativity, this research seeks to explain the development of agents and institutions in forming the Punk Sub-cultural community ecosystem in Malang Raya, explaining the values that exist in the development of the Punk Sub-culture community in Malang Raya. Data on the development of agents and communities in the Greater Malang Punk sub-cultural ecosystem will be analyzed using one of Herbert Marcuse's critical theses, namely The Great Refusal.

This research is a qualitative descriptive research with a research model of philosophical views in the field. The material object is the punk subculture of Malang Raya which was explored from field observations in the form of collectives, scenes (communities), music performances or concerts and interviews from musicians, music activists and actors in the community. Material objects will be analyzed using the theory of The Great Refusal, Herbert Marcuse. The results of the analysis will be dissected into four typologies, namely: Scene (community and social ecosystem), Music (Economic Ecosystem and aesthetic products), Ideology (Thought), and Fashion.

This research produces three conclusions, namely: first, the development of Malang Raya Punk Sub-cultural Community Ecosystem is divided into three periods, namely the first generation (1996-2003), the second generation (2008-2017), and Today's Punk (2018-present). Second, in the development of the Punk Sub-culture community ecosystem in Malang Raya, there are four values that form sub-culture, namely Scene (community and social relations), Music (commodity, aesthetics and mode of production), Ideology (thought), and Fashion (identity). and symbolic expressions). Third, in a critical analysis of the perspective of The Great Refusal, the Punk sub-cultural scene in Malang Raya is an embodiment of the Great Refusal that emerged as a response to the surplus of repression in the historical process of the Advanced Industrial Society. The music of the Punk Subculture of Malang Raya reflects an aesthetic dimension that is undergoing transformation in an effort to represent the authentic desires of individuals. The Punk subculture of Malang Raya consistently shows that ideology is not an ideal or guide but rather materialistic work. Fourth, fashion in the Malang Raya punk sub-culture is inconsistent as a form of The Great Refusal because it functions as a liberative expression and becomes a space for the expansion of the Advanced Industrial Society. This conclusion provides an answer that the research hypothesis is not completely correct
