COUNTER HEGEMONY MELALUI WACANA DALAM AKTIVISME SUPORTER SEPAKBOLA (Analisis Wacana Tandingan Bandung Supporter Alliance Terhadap Modernisasi Sepakbola melalui Media Sosial)

Sepakbola hari ini semakin erat dengan kepentingan bisnis imbas adanya modernisasi sepakbola. Salah satu pihak yang merasa kepentingannya dirugikan dari perkembangan modernisasi sepakbola ialah suporter. Kondisi ini mendorong munculnya perlawanan yang termanisfestasi gerakan Againts Modern Football. Salah satu kelompok suporter yang melakukan perlawanan adalah Bandung Supporter Alliance. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami upaya counter hegemony melalui wacana yang dilakukan Bandung Supporter Alliance. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep aktivisme penggemar (Jenkins, 2012), hegemoni (Gramsci, 2013) dan analisis MCDA (Machin & Mayr, 2012) untuk menjelaskan upaya perlawanan terhadap modernisasi sepakbola yang dilakukan Bandung Supporter Alliance. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aktivisme yang dilakukan Bandung Supporter Alliance merupakan bentuk counter hegemony yang erat kaitannya dengan upaya konstruksi wacana tandingan yang disebarluaskan melalui media sosial. Pengorganisasian wacana dapat membentuk commen sense baru yang menjadi titik sentral dalam proses counter hegemoni. Pengorganisasian wacana melibatkan dua komponen kunci yaitu perang posisi dan tata bahasa normatif dan spontan. Perang posisi berkaitan dengan kritik wacana untuk mendestabilisasi wacana modernisasi sepakbola dan mempromosikan wacana tandingan. Sedangkan, tata bahasa normatif dan spontan terkait dengan kebenaran gramatikal dan cara komunikasi yang tepat. Hal ini terkait dengan pilihan bahasa yang bersifat politis karena berpihak pada kepentingan Bandung Supporter Alliance. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan peran komunikasi dan wacana dalam upaya counter hegemony pada aktivisme suporter sepakbola.
Today, football is becoming increasingly intertwined with the business world, and the modernization of football is having a significant impact on the sport. One group of people who feel that this modernization is disadvantaging their interests are the supporters. This has led to the emergence of the “Against Modern Football” movement, with one of the supporter groups involved in this resistance being the Bandung Supporter Alliance.This research aims to understand the counterhegemonic efforts made by the Bandung Supporter Alliance through their discourse. To achieve this, the research uses the concepts of activist fandom (Jenkins, 2012), hegemony (Gramsci, 2013), and MCDA analysis (Machin & Mayr, 2012). The research results show that the activism carried out by the Bandung Supporter Alliance involves creating a strong counter-hegemonic connection by constructing discourse disseminated through direct communication and mass media. Organizing this discourse can create a new sense of commentary that becomes central in the process of counter-hegemony. There are two key components to this organizing discourse - position war and normative and spontaneous grammar. Position war is related to the critical discourse that aims to destabilize the modernization of football discourse and promote rival discourse. On the other hand, normative and spontaneous grammar is related to the proper method of communication and the choice of political language that aligns with the interests of the Bandung Supporter Alliance. Overall, this research highlights the important role that communication and discourse play in the efforts made by football supporters to counter hegemony.
