The aims of this research are to examine the impact of human resources practice to turnover intention and to examine the impact of human resources practices to turnover intention with employee engagement as a mediating variable.
Primary data collection was carried out for two weeks through questionnaire instrument. The respondent of this research were employees of PT Telkom Akses area Bekasi with predetermined criteria. A total of 295 questionnaire were distributed to contract employees and 205 questionnaire were returned for data analysis processing. In this research, data analysis using simple linear regression and multiple linear regression with mediation procedures of Baron and Kenny (1986), which was previously preceded by classical assumption testing.
The result of the analysis showed that hypothesis 1 supported which indicates that human resources practice give negative significant impact to turnover intention. By means of Baron and Kenny (1986) procedure, the result of hypothesis 2 showed that employee engagement is not mediated the relationship between human resources practices and turnover intention. The implication of this research is the company needs to improve their human resources practice to reduce the level of employee turnover intentions towards the company.
