Bengkulu City's Chinese Village is one of the historical tourist destinations in the Kota Tuo Tourist Area of Bengkulu City, among the leading destinations in Bengkulu City such as; Fort Malborough, Tugu Thomas Parr, Zakat Beach and Tapak Paderi Beach. These places are have excellent attractiveness, location and accessibility. However, this does not apply to the Chinese Village of Bengkulu City. This village is a quiet area. Historically, when the Governor of Bengkulu opened a new economic center, Suprapto and Lingkar Timur. This was the trigger for Kampung Cina to start being abandoned by its inhabitants. The Chinese Village of Bengkulu City seems to have lost its identity as the trading center of Bengkulu City over a long period of time so that traders and visitors or buyers are comfortable moving to the new trading center. Therefore, the government attempted to attract visitors' attention to the Bengkulu City's Chinese Village again with the tourism sector in 2008 and 2017. However, efforts to bring back the attractiveness of the area were still less than optimal. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out research on the development strategy for this area. A deeper analysis needs to be carried out regarding the strengths of this area as a historical tourist destination. A precedent study and analysis of tourism aspects will be carried out to find out the extent of the potential this area has. The development strategy includes regional attractions and amenities. This will also be supported by tourists' perceptions as a factor in tourism activities. This research data is qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative is data that cannot be calculated such as; general description, research location, tourist perceptions, existence and history of Bengkulu City's Chinese Village. Meanwhile, quantitative is data that can be calculated and compared with numbers such as the number of attraction components and amenities, as well as the amount of supply and demand in the area from a number of communities. The results of the research and discussion concluded that Kampung Cina, Bengkulu City has shortcomings in terms of tourism and needs an appropriate development strategy to be a solution to this.
