Public service is an essential element in public organizations because it’s a fundamental duty of government institutions. Therefore, public services must be oriented towards the public interest. Public services are associated with negative connotations for instance, slow, unfriendly, complicated service, time uncertainty, and costly. One element of the success of public services is public satisfaction because the main goal of public services is to provide community satisfaction.. Therefore, the author wants to examine factors influencing community satisfaction through the variables of service quality, service innovation, interpersonal communication, and standard operating procedure (SOP) at a public service mall in Batang Regency.
Sampling in this research was carried out using a random sampling technique. The number of samples taken from this research was 107 respondents. The data collection method used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression using the SPSS program.
The result of the research showed that the service quality variables had an influence on community satisfaction as indicated by a significance value of 0.000. The service innovation variable had an influence on community satisfaction as shown by a significance value of 0.001. In addition, the interpersonal communication variable influenced community satisfaction as shown by a significance value of 0.000. Furthermore, the standard operating procedure (SOP) variable had an effect on community satisfaction as shown by the significance value of 0.004. Besides that, the variables of service quality, service innovation, interpersonal communication, and standard operating procedure (SOP) simultaneously had a significant effect on community satisfaction as shown by a significance value of 0.000 or 0.000<0>
This research concluded that service quality, service innovation, interpersonal communication, and standard operating procedure (SOP) partially and simultaneously influenced community satisfaction. It is clear that improving service quality, service innovation, interpersonal communication, and standard operating procedure (SOP) will increase community satisfaction.
