Cikondang Bridge is one of the concrete bridge structures on the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road. The bridge was initially planned to be completed within 197 calendar days or 29 weeks, with a contract value of Rp 118.112.440.116. However, an issue arose with the project's completion being delayed up to 229 calendar days or 33 weeks. The purposes of this research are to evaluate the delay in the completion of the Cikondang Bridge Construction project, to analyze the optimal addition of overtime, and to analyze the efficiency of adding overtime on the cost and normal project duration.
Crash Program is one of the methods used for project time acceleration, but this acceleration will impact the project cost (Time cost trade-off). The required data includes the sequence of works, schedule, detailed engineering design drawings, bill of quantity and price lists, workforce, and weekly progress reports of the project. This research uses the Crash Program method with overtime working hours addition factor of 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, and 4 hours, in accordance with the maximum daily overtime hours in the UU Cipta Kerja Number 6 of 2023. Crashing is carried out on the critical activities based on the analysis results in Microsoft Project software.
The project’s progress evaluation results show that the project experienced critical contract at week 23 due to a deviation between the planned schedule and its realization by -5.03%. The project should plan a crashing when experiencing the critical contract. The crashing analysis which applied to every activities in critical path shows that adding 4 hours of overtime is the most optimal. Crashing with 4 hours of overtime resulted in the longest duration variance, which is 34 calendar days, and a cost variance of Rp 476,074,260. The project is estimated to still gain a profit of Rp 5,429,547,746 with the addition of 4 hours of overtime, although the profit decreased by 8.06% from the initial estimated profit. The addition of overtime with the highest cost efficiency is 1 hour, which is -0.03%, while the highest time efficiency is 4 hours, which is 17.26%.
