<![endif]-->Perubahan
sehingga menyebabkan efek gas rumah kaca. Indonesia telah menyatakan
komitmennya dalam menurunkan emisi gas rumah kaca. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
akhir (open dumping), pengolahan
Akademik UGM dengan lingkup cradle to
grave.
eq, kemudian dampak Human Toxicity sebesar 2715,7 kg 1,4-DB eq, selanjutnya
dampak Eutrofikasi sebesar 9,40 kg PO4-3 eq, dampak
Asidifikasi sebesar 53,940 kg SO2 eq, dan dampak Ozone Layer
Depletion sebesar 6,14x10-3 kg CFC-11 eq. Untuk total kebutuhan
energi yaitu sebesar 503.612 MJ.
Climate change is a
phenomenon where significant changes occur in climate, rainfall, and air
temperature. Climate change occurs due to the
increasing concentration of carbon dioxide gas and other gases in the
atmosphere, causing the greenhouse gas effect. Indonesia has stated
its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Life Cycle
Assessment (LCA) or environmental impact analysis is an instrument that aims to
measure and address environmental aspects of a product and potential
environmental impacts during the product's life cycle. Although it has been
adopted by many large companies, LCA is still used in a limited way in service
industries such as hospitals, especially in Indonesia. Common problems in
hospitals include the disposal of medical waste to open dumping, processing
without a permit, incineration that does not meet standards and limited
processing services that can damage the environment. This matter became
more complex when it was discovered that there were approximately 2,900
hospitals that had not managed medical waste or B3 waste properly. This research was
conducted at the UGM Academic Hospital. The purpose of this study was to measure
the environmental impact of solid medical waste management at the UGM Academic
Hospital with a cradle to grave scope. The results of the impact assessment in
this study used the CML-IA Baseline and Cumulative Energy Demand methods with a
unit function of 1 ton of solid medical waste, the highest impact was dominated
by the Global Warming Potential (GWP) impact of 36,176.9 kg CO2 eq,
then the Human Toxicity impact of 2715.7 kg 1.4-DB eq, then the
Eutrophication effect is 9.40 kg PO4-3 eq, the
Acidification effect is 53.940 kg SO2 eq, and the Ozone Layer
Depletion effect is 6.14x10-3 kg CFC-11 eq. The total energy requirement is 503,612
MJ.
