Masjid Pathok Negoro Plosokuning ialah satu diantara bangunan ibadah yang didirikan oleh Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono I dan Kiai Mursodo, pada tahun 1724. Masjid ini didirikan dengan tujuan memperkuat ajaran Islam dan Keraton Yogyakarta. Sejak tahun 1724 hingga sekarang, keaslian arsitektur pada Masjid Pathok Negoro Plosokuning masih sebesar 80 persen. Kegiatan yang berlangsung di Masjid Pathok Negoro Plosokuning, tidak hanya mengenai aspek agama tetapi juga mencakup unsur sosial dan budaya. Teori partisipasi masyarakat (Cohen dan Uphoff) serta Cultural Resource Management digunakan untuk menganalisis peran warga Plosokuning dalam pelestarian cagar budaya Masjid Pathok Negoro Plosokuning. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif untuk menjabarkan temuan selama penelitian. Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa warga Plosokuning yang berperan dalam pelestarian disegmentasi menjadi tiga unsur, yaitu takmir masjid, abdi dalem, dan warga (asli dan pendatang).
The Pathok Negoro Plosokuning Mosque is one of the religious buildings built by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono I and Kiai Mursodo, in 1724. This mosque was built with the aim of strengthening Islamic teachings and the Yogyakarta Palace. Since 1724 until now, the architectural authenticity of the Pathok Negoro Plosokuning Mosque is still 80%. The activities that took place at the Pathok Negoro Plosokuning Mosque, were not only about religious aspects but also included social and cultural elements. Community participation theory (Cohen and Uphoff) and Cultural Resource Management are used to analyze the role of Plosokuning residents in preserving the cultural heritage of the Pathok Negoro Plosokuning Mosque. This study uses a descriptive analysis method to describe the findings during the study. From the results of the study, it was found that Plosokuning residents who play a role in the preservation are segmented into three elements, namely takmir of the mosque, courtiers, and residents (natives and immigrants).
