KRITIK SENO GUMIRA AJIDARMA TERHADAP KEBIJAKAN PEMBANGUNAN YANG MENINDAS KELOMPOK YANG DIPINGGIRKAN DALAM CERPEN "BECAK TERAKHIR DI DUNIA (ATAWA RAMBO)": ANALISIS PENOKOHAN, LATAR, DAN TEMA STRUKTUR CERITA ROBERT STANTON

Penelitian ini menggunakan objek material cerita pendek (cerpen) yang berjudul "Becak Terakhir di Dunia (Atawa Rambo)" karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma. Objek formal dalam penelitian ini adalah teori struktur cerita yang memfokuskan pada unsur tokoh dan penokohan, latar, dan tema. Penelitian ini menjawab tiga rumusan masalah. Pertama, menjawab peranan unsur tokoh dan penokohan serta latar cerpen "Becak Terakhir di Dunia (Atawa Rambo)". Kedua, menjawab penafsiran tema yang mendasari cerpen "Becak Terakhir di Dunia (Atawa Rambo)". Ketiga, menjawab hubungan antarunsur antara tokoh dan penokohan, latar, dan tema cerpen "Becak Terakhir di Dunia (Atawa Rambo)".

Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tokoh cerpen "Becak Terakhir di Dunia (Atawa Rambo)" dibedakan menjadi tokoh utama dan tokoh bawahan. Latar cerpen "Becak Terakhir di Dunia (Atawa Rambo)" terbagi ke dalam latar waktu, latar tempat, dan latar sosial-budaya. Latar waktu dalam cerpen ini adalah latar waktu yang menunjuk pada waktu terjadinya setiap peristiwa secara berurutan dan dapat dibuktikan kemasukakalannya. Latar tempat dalam cerpen ini adalah padang pasir dan tepi lintasan, pantai, bukit karang, jalanan kota/kota, dalam kota, "ujung dunia"/"kawasan gelap"/daerah kumuh, dan gubuk reyot. Sementara latar sosial yang terlihat dalam cerpen ini adalah latar sosial antara masyarakat perkampungan dan kota yang gemerlapan. Penafsiran tema cerpen ini dibedakan menjadi tema utama dan tema bawahan. Dengan dianalisisnya penokohan, latar, dan tema cerpen "Becak Terakhir di Dunia (Atawa Rambo)", dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketiga unsur tersebut saling berhubungan membentuk satu kesatuan cerita yang utuh.

This study uses the object material of a short story entitled "Becak Terakhir di Dunia (Atawa Rambo)" by Seno Gumira Ajidarma. The fromal object of this research is story structure theory which focuses on characterization, setting, and theme. This study answers three problem formulations. First, answering the analysis of the characterization and settings of the short story "Becak Terakhir di Dunia (Atawa Rambo)". Second, answering the search for the theme that underlies the short story "Becak Terakhir di Dunia (Atawa Rambo)". Third, answering the relationship between elements between the characterization, setting, and theme of the short story "Becak Terakhir di Dunia (Atawa Rambo)". 

The results of the analysis show that the characters in the short story "Becak Terakhir di Dunia (Atawa Rambo)" are devided into main characters and supporting characters. The setting for the short story "Becak Terakhir di Dunia (Atawa Rambo)" is devided into time, place, dan socio-cultural settings. The time setting in this short story is the time setting which refers to the time when each event occurs sequentially and its plausibility can be proven. The setting of the place in this short story is the desert and the edge of the track, the beach, coral hills, city/city streets, in the city, the "end of the world"/"dark area"/slums, and rickety huts. While the social background seen in this short story is the social background between the slum community, and the sparkling city. The interpretation of the theme of this short story is devided into main theme and subordinate themes. By analyzing the characterization, settings, and theme of the story "Becak Terakhir di Dunia (Atawa Rambo)", it can be concluded that these three elements are interconnected to form a unified whole story.
