SLIPS OF THE TONGUE IN THE PODCAST ZACH SANG SHOW

Analisis keseleo lidah merupakan salah satu bukti untuk megungkap dan memahami lebih baik proses kompleks produksi tuturan manusia. Keseleo lidah terjadi ketika ujaran yang diucapkan berbeda dengan rencana yang dimaksud penutur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari tipe-tipe dan unit linguistik pada keseleo lidah dalam 16 episode siniar Zach Sang Show. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah ujaran penutur dalam siniar yang mengandung keseleo lidah. Klasifikasi keseleo lidah yang disusun oleh Clark and Clark (1977) dan Fromkin (1973) digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasi tipe-tipe dan linguistik unit pada keseleo lidah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 64 kejadian keseleo lidah, seluruh tujuh tipe keseleo lidah diidentifikasi, yaitu antisipasi, preseverasi, reversal, percampuran, haplologi, misderivasi, dan subtitusi kata, dengan haplologi menjadi tipe yang paling umum (36%). Lebih lanjut, keseleo lidah juga melibatkan seluruh empat linguistic unit dari yang terkecil hingga terbesar: segmen fonetik, silabel, kata, dan konstituen yang lebih besar, dengan segmen fonetik menjadi unit yang paling sering diidentifikasi (43.8%).

The analysis of slips of the tongue provides valuable evidence for understanding better the intricate process of human speech production. This phenomenon occurs when the uttered speech deviates from the intended plan. This research focuses on investigating the various types and linguistic units involved in slips of the tongue in 16 episodes of the podcast Zach Sang Show. The study utilizes utterances from the podcast that contain slips of the tongue as the data. The classification systems proposed by Clark and Clark (1977) and Fromkin (1973) are employed to identify and categorize the types and linguistic units of these slips of the tongue. The findings reveal that out of the 64 instances of slips of the tongue, all seven types are present: anticipations, perseverations, reversals, blends, misderivations, haplologies, and word substitutions, with haplologies being the most frequently observed type (36%). Additionally, the slips of the tongue involve all four linguistic units, ranging from the smallest to the largest: phonetic segments, syllables, words, and larger constituents, with phonetic segments being the most commonly identified unit (43.8%).
