Representasi Filosofis Mitos Upacara Barong Ider Bumi Suku Osing Banyuwangi

Upacara Barong Ider Bumi dimaknai sebagai ritual tahunan bersih desa yang memiliki mitos dan dipercayai oleh masyarakat suku Osing Desa Kemiren. Tujuan dari penelitian ini menjelaskan mengenai dinamika mitos yang terdapat pada Upacara Barong Ider Bumi, menjelaskan pengaruh mitos Upacara Barong Ider Bumi terhadap nilai budaya dalam kearifan lokal masyarakat suku Osing Desa Kemiren, dan menjelaskan bagaimana nilai-nilai filosofis yang terdapat dalam mitos Upacara Barong Ider Bumi dapat bertahan menghadapi modernitas. 

Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian filsafat yang bersifat kualitatif dengan model penelitian deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui kajian yang berasal dari literatur dalam bentuk buku, skripsi terdahulu, tesis, jurnal, dan observasi yang dipadukan dengan wawancara dengan narasumber sebagai tambahan informasi untuk melengkapi data. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode filsafati, dengan beberapa langkah metodis yaitu: deskripsi, kesinambungan historis, interpretasi, heuristika, dan refleksi kritis untuk dapat memahami keseluruhan konsep filsafat kebudayaan khususnya teori mitos. 

Hasil penelitian ini adalah: pertama, terdapat dua wujud mitos yang berkembang pada Upacara Barong Ider Bumi yaitu pada wujud budaya dan ritual pelaksanaan Upacara Barong Ider Bumi. Kedua, dinamika Upacara Barong Ider Bumi terbagi menjadi tiga periode waktu 1900,1950, dan 1990. Ketiga, nilai filosofis yang terdapat dalam mitos Upacara Barong Ider Bumi mempengaruhi bagaimana norma dan nilai-nilai budaya yang berkembang di wilayah suku Osing Desa Kemiren. Keempat, nilai-nilai filosofis yang terdapat pada Upacara Barong Ider Bumi dapat tetap bertahan menghadapi modernitas, karena bagi masyarakat Kemiren mitos tentang Upacara Barong Ider Bumi menjadi dasar bagi sarana masyarakat untuk dapat memahami eksistensi Tuhan dalam kehidupan masyarakat yang berkembang di zaman modern. 

The Barong Ider Bumi ceremony interpreted as an annual ritual for cleaning the village which has a myth and is believed by the Osing tribe of Kemiren Village. The purpose of this study is to explain the dynamics of the myths contained in the Barong Ider Bumi Ceremony, explain the influence of the myths of the Barong Ider Bumi Ceremony on cultural values in the local wisdom of the Osing tribal people of Kemiren Village, and explain how the philosophical values contained in the myths of the Barong Ider Bumi Ceremony survive modernity. 

This research is a type of philosophical research that is qualitative in nature with a descriptive research model. Data were obtained through studies originating from the literature in the form of books, previous theses, theses, journals, and observations combined with interviews with informants as additional information to complete the data. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using a philosophical method, with several methodical steps, namely: description, historical continuity, interpretation, heuristics, and critical reflection to be able to understand the whole concept of the philosophy of culture, especially myth theory. 

The results of this study are: first, there are two mythical forms that develop in the Barong Ider Bumi Ceremony, namely in the form of culture and the rituals of carrying out the Barong Ider Bumi Ceremony. Second, the dynamics of the Barong Ider Bumi Ceremony are divided into three time periods 1900, 1950 and 1990. Third, the philosophical values contained in the myth of the Barong Ider Bumi Ceremony influence how cultural norms and values develop in the Osing tribal area of Kemiren Village. Fourth, the philosophical values contained in the Barong Ider Bumi Ceremony can survive in the face of modernity, because for the Kemiren people the myth about the Barong Ider Bumi Ceremony is the basis for society's means of being able to understand the existence of God in the life of society that is developing in modern times.
