Pengaruh Self-Efficacy terhadap Career Decision Making di Bidang Ilmu Komputer dengan Parental Authority sebagai Variabel Mediasi dan Jenis Kelamin sebagai Variabel Moderator: Studi pada Mahasiswa/i Ilmu Komputer di Indonesia

2023 | Skripsi | S1 MANAJEMENPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap career decision making dengan parental authority sebagai variabel mediasi dan jenis kelamin sebagai variabel mediator. Self-efficacy diukur dengan menggunakan Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy Scale oleh Taylor dan Betz (1983) pada sub skala self-appraisal sedangkan career decision making diukur dengan menekankan pada sub skala occupational information, goal setting, planning, dan problem solving, dan parental authority diukur dengan menggunakan Parental Authority Questionnaire (Buri, 1991). Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 198 responden yang merupakan mahasiswa/i dan alumni program studi Ilmu Komputer di Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Bina Nusantara, Universitas Brawijaya, dan Universitas Indonesia. Menggunakan analisis Partial Least Square Equation Modelling, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa self-efficacy berpengaruh positif terhadap career decision making dan parental authority memiliki efek memediasi secara parsial pengaruh tersebut dengan jenis kelamin tidak memiliki efek memperkuat ataupun memperlemah pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap career decision making yang dimiliki oleh individu.
This research examines self-efficacy as effect on career decision making with parental authority as a mediating variable and sex as a mediator variable. Self-efficacy is measured by using Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy Scale by Taylor and Betz (1983) on self-appraisal subscale while the career decision making is measured by emphasizing the occupational information, goal setting, planning, and problem solving subscales, and parental authority is measured by using Parental Authority Questionnaire (Buri, 1991). The research sample consists of 198 respondents who are computer science students and alumni of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Bina Nusantara, Universitas Brawijaya, and Universitas Indonesia. Using Partial Least Square Equation Modelling analysis, this research found that self-efficacy has positive effect on career decision making and parental authority has the effect of partially mediating this influence with sex not having any effect of strengthening or weakening the effect of self-efficacy on the individual's career decision making.
