DESKRIPSI TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN MASYARAKAT DI DUSUN I DESA TEGAL REJO TERHADAP PELANGGARAN PIDANA ATAS DISIPLIN PEMAKAIAN HELM SAAT BERKENDARA SEPEDA MOTOR TAHUN 2022

Latar Belakang: Indonesia saat ini menduduki posisi ke 3 pengguna sepeda motor terbanyak di dunia. Tingginya pengguna sepeda motor mengakibatkan berbagai masalah di jalan raya. Permasalahan tersebut diantaranya angka kecelakaan yang tinggi. Dari total kecelakaan di jalan raya, sebanyak 73% diantaranya melibatkan sepeda motor. Pemerintah secara tegas mengatur penggunaan helm bagi pengendara sepeda motor yang dirumuskan dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 22 Tahun 2009. Pengetahuan yang rendah menyebabkan masyarakat menjadi abai untuk menggunakan helm saat berkendara. Hasil studi pendahuluan menunjukkan banyak masyarakat yang tidak tahu ancaman pidana terhadap pelanggaran disiplin pemakaian helm. Tujuan Penelitian: Mengetahui deskripsi tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat di Dusun I Desa Tegal Rejo terhadap pelanggaran pidana atas disiplin pemakaian helm saat berkendara sepeda motor. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analytic. Populasi penelitian ini adalah warga di Dusun I, Desa Tegal Rejo, Kecamatan Tugumulyo, Kabupaten Musi Rawas, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan sebanyak 323 kepala keluarga. Teknik sampling yang digunakan purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 180 orang. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dengan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil: Karakteristik masyarakat di Dusun I Desa Tegal Rejo sebagian besar responden berjenis kelamin laki-laki, berumur 36 �¢ï¿½ï¿½ 55 tahun, mayoritas berpendidikan dasar, berstatus bekerja dan mayoritas pernah mendapatkan informasi secara formal tentang pelanggaran pidana atas disiplin pemakaian helm saat berkendara sepeda motor. Tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat di Dusun I Desa Tegal Rejo terhadap pelanggaran pidana atas disiplin pemakaian helm saat berkendara sepeda motor kategori tinggi. Kesimpulan: Tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat di Dusun I Desa Tegal Rejo terhadap pelanggaran pidana atas disiplin pemakaian helm saat berkendara sepeda motor kategori tinggi.

Background: Indonesia is currently in the 3rd position with the most motorbike users in the world. The high number of motorbike users causes various problems on the road. These problems include high accident rates. Of the total road accidents, 73% involve motorbikes. The government strictly regulates the use of helmets for motorcyclists as formulated in Law Number 22 of 2009. Low knowledge causes people to be negligent about using helmets while riding. The results of the preliminary study show that many people do not know about the criminal penalties for disciplinary violations in wearing helmets. Research Objectives: To find out the description of the level of public knowledge in Dusun I Tegal Rejo Village regarding criminal violations for the discipline of wearing helmets when riding motorbikes. Research Method: This research uses descriptive analytic method. The population of this study was residents in Hamlet I, Tegal Rejo Village, Tugumulyo District, Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra Province, consisting of 323 households. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total sample of 180 people. The type of data used is primary data with data collection techniques using questionnaires. Data analysis used descriptive analysis. Results: Characteristics of the community in Dusun I Tegal Rejo Village, most of the respondents were male, aged 36-55 years, the majority had basic education, working status and the majority had received formal information about criminal violations regarding the discipline of wearing a helmet when riding a motorcycle. The level of knowledge of the community in Dusun I Tegal Rejo Village regarding criminal violations for the discipline of wearing helmets when riding motorbikes is in the high category. Conclusion: The level of knowledge of the community in Dusun I Tegal Rejo Village regarding criminal violations for the discipline of wearing helmets when riding motorbikes is in the high category.
