Pengembangan Kemasan Sekunder Cokelat Pegagan menggunakan Metode Quality Function Deployment di KWT Pawon Gendhis, Kulon Progo, D.I. Yogyakarta

Observasi melalui kuesioner pendahuluan mengungkapkan bahwa sebanyak 86,2% responden menilai cokelat pegagan saat ini memerlukan adanya pengembangan kemasan sekunder. Kemasan yang terkesan ketinggalan zaman dan tidak lengkapnya informasi produk, membuat kemasan Cokelat Pegagan kurang menarik di mata responden. Pengembangan kemasan tersebut dapat dijadikan alternatif ide dalam inovasi produk. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menentukan atribut kemasan Cokelat Pegagan Pawon Gendhis yang menjadi prioritas dalam pengembangan kemasan dengan menerapkan metode Quality Function Deployment, serta perancangan desain kemasan sekunder produk Cokelat Pegagan Pawon Gendhis. Kebutuhan konsumen diperoleh dari hasil kuesioner yang didistribusikan kepada 116 responden. Tanggapan konsumen kemudian diidentifikasi ke dalam kebutuhan teknis berdasarkan diskusi dengan owner Pawon Gendhis serta studi literatur. Tahapan QFD dilanjutkan dengan pembuatan House of Quality. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, telah disimpulkan prioritas atribut kemasan Cokelat Pegagan Pawon Gendhis yang perlu dilakukan perbaikan yaitu kemasan menarik, fungsi memberikan nilai, serta kemasan memudahkan konsumen mengenali produk. Konsep desain kemasan yang dirancang yaitu kemasan sekunder menggunakan sliding box dengan tambahan kertas penyekat bewarna emas.
Secondary packaging for Pegagan Chocolate currently uses vacuum plastic. From the results of preliminary observations, as many as 86.2% of respondents thought that it was necessary to develop the pegagan chocolate packaging. Packaging that seems out of date and incomplete product information, makes the packaging of Pegagan Pawon Gendhis Chocolate less attractive. The packaging development can be used as an alternative idea in product innovation. The purpose of this research is to determine the attributes of Pawon Gendhis Pegagan Chocolate packaging which is a priority in packaging development by applying the Quality Function Deployment method, as well as designing secondary packaging designs for Pegagan Pawon Gendhis Chocolate products. Consumer needs are obtained from the results of questionnaires distributed to 116 respondents. Consumer responses were then identified as technical needs based on discussions with the owner of Pawon Gendhis and literature studies. The QFD stage is followed by building a House of Quality. Based on the results of data analysis, it has been concluded that the priority attributes of Pegagan Pawon Gendhis Chocolate packaging that need to be improved are attractive packaging, the function of providing value, and packaging that makes it easier for consumers to identify the product. The packaging design concept designed is secondary packaging using a sliding box, with the addition insulatuion in the form of gold paper.
