Management of timber enterprices have specific caracteristic that chal!anging problem: ( 1) forest management involves long periode production so that its needs profound ca1cu1ating in order determine rotation, because its also need hig investation, (2) forest is a factory and a final product. Those caracteristic irnplay that's economic and sustainable principle is absolutely needed to apply in forest management. The aim of this research is (1) to evaluate regulation period and long of rotation, (2) to improve distribution of age ciases at teak stand at Kesatuan Pemangkuan Hu1an (Forest District) Semarang, (3) financial analysis for each alternatives, and management alternative that has been put out in order to create KPH Semarang as a business unit that can give profit. Data that had been used was last standing stock as had been used by Keneth P. Davis. Da1a v1as analyze economically and finally, from this analysis the roia!'ion and management alternative were j udgted. This research has shown that 80 years rotation cannot be used and suffer financial loss. Rotation was made shorter gradually and management aitematives were applied to create profitable and sustainable forest management. A business unit, that is profitable can be reached by making shorter rotation until 40 vears and aonlicatirnr mana2:ement alternative with iud2:etin2: local condition.
