Desain Kualitas Produk Perhiasan Perak dengan Menggunakan Quality Function Deployment

Desain produk merupakan salah satu aspek dalam pengembangan produk yang harus diperhatikan oleh perusahaan. Desain produk yang baik menarik konsumen dan merupakan kunci dari keberhasilan perusahaan. Secara umum, industri perhiasan dapat dijadikan contoh sebagai salah satu industri yang kinerjanya bergantung dari penilaian konsumen terhadap desain perhiasan itu sendiri. Industri perhiasan Indonesia memegang peran yang signifikan dalam mendukung ekonomi negara dilihat dari pertumbuhan nilai ekspornya. Akan tetapi, industri ini tidak lepas dari tantangan yang dihadapinya perihal desain produk perhiasan yang kurang relevan dengan preferensi konsumen yang berubah dengan cepat, sebagai contohnya jenama perhiasan perak kontemporer Borobudur Silver. Penelitian menggunakan data primer berupa kuesioner sebagai metode pengumpulan data dengan 110 responden. Melalui metode Quality Function Deployment dengan alat analisis House of Quality, diperoleh hasil penelitian berupa lima dari sembilan atribut produk perhiasan perak yang menjadi prioritas kepentingan. Atribut produk perhiasan perak yang menjadi prioritas kepentingan antara lain eksekusi atau kemampuan pekerja, diferensiasi, tingkat inovasi, ergonomis, dan kesesuaian kelompok sasaran. Atribut produk perhiasan perak sebagai prioritas kepentingan selanjutnya dapat dipenuhi oleh perusahaan dengan berfokus pada pengembangan dan perbaikan tujuh dari delapan deskripsi teknis perusahaan yang memiliki nilai bobot kepentingan tertinggi. Deskripsi teknis perusahaan tersebut antara lain proses desain, pelatihan pandai perak, penghitungan biaya produksi, perencanaan desain, pengecekan berkala ketika produksi, pemilihan pemasok bahan baku perak, dan pencarian pandai perak.

Product design is one aspect of product development that must be considered by the company. Good product design attracts consumers and is the key to a company's success. In general, the jewelry industry can be used as an example as an industry whose performance depends on consumer evaluation of the jewelry design itself. The Indonesian jewelry industry plays a significant role in supporting the country's economy in terms of the growth in its export value. However, the industry is not free from the challenges it faces regarding jewelry product designs that are not relevant to the rapid changing consumer preferences, for example the contemporary silver jewelry brand Borobudur Silver. This study used primary data in the form of questionnaire as a method of collecting data with 110 respondents. Using the Quality Function Deployment method with the analysis tool of House of Quality, research obtained results from five of nine silver jewelry product attributes that provide importance to customers. Product attributesthat consumers prioritized are execution or workmanship, differentiation, degree of innovation, ergonomics, and target group fit. Jewelry attribute that has the highest value of important priority can be met by the company by focusing for improvement and development of seven out of eight technical description which has a higher importance weight. Technical description of the company is design process, silversmith training, cost of production calculation, design planning, periodic quality control in production stage, silver supplier election, and silversmith finding.This study used primary data in the form of a questionnaire as a method of collecting data with 110 respondents.
