Ironi Dunia Parasite: Membuka Tabir Stereotype Kehidupan Orang Miskin (Analisis Wacana Kritis Film Parasite Karya Bong Joon-Ho)

Kesenjangan sosial merupakan satu dari sekian permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat global. Seiring dengan masifnya perkembangan ekonomi suatu negara demi tercapainya tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat, seringkali tidak menjamin pemerataan kesejahteraan itu sendiri. Fenomena kesenjangan masih terlihat di beberapa aspek seperti pendidikan, ekonomi, pekerjaan hingga akses tempat tinggal yang layak. Kesenjangan sosial hadir sebagai akibat adanya pembagian struktur masyarakat ke dalam kelas-kelas tertentu yang didasarkan akan kepemilikan capital atau sumber daya. Hal tersebut kemudian melahirkan praktik-praktik stereotyping terhadap kelas ekonomi rendah oleh kelas ekonomi sejahtera. Penelitian ini berupaya membongkar wacana stereotype kelas bawah serta konfik kelas yang terjadi di antara masyarakat Korea Selatan dalam film Parasite dengan menggunakan Analisis Wacana Kritis milik Norman Fairclough yang terdiri atas tiga level analisis yaitu konstruksi teks, interpretasi atau konsumsi teks dan juga praktik sosiokultural. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konflik kelas terjadi di antara kelas-kelas dalam sebuah arena, konflik bukan hanya terjadi di antara kelas atas dengan kelas bawah namun juga terjadi di antara sesama kelas bawah untuk memperjuangkan dan memperebutkan capital atau sumber daya. Sementara itu wacana praktik stereotyping terhadap masyarakat kelas bawah yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya bentuk-bentuk kekerasan simbolik berlapis yang dialami oleh kelas bawah sehingga memunculkan pandangan baru tentang kelas bawah sebagai kelas yang rendah.

One of several problems impacting the global community is social inequality. Along with a country's massive economic development to achieve a level of community welfare, it frequently does not guarantee the distribution of welfare itself. Inequality persists in a variety of areas, including economy, education, and access to decent housing. The social inequality occurs as a result of the segmentation of society's structure into different groups based on possession of wealth or resources. This therefore resulted to stereotyping tendencies by the higher economic class against the lower economic class. This study attempts to dismantle the stereotyped discourse of the lower class and also the class conflicts that occur among the South Korean in Parasite movie by using Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis which consists of three levels of analysis, which include text construction, interpretation or consumption of texts and also sociocultural practices. The study's findings demonstrate that class conflicts arise between classes in a competitive situation. These conflicts do not just happen between the upper and lower classes; they also arise between the lower classes as they compete for resources or money. A new perception of the lower class as a low class has emerged as a result of the discourse on lower class stereotyping practices that were discovered in this study. This discourse reveals the existence of multi-layered types of symbolic violence suffered by the lower class.
