Children Creative Center dengan Pendekatan Karakteristik Anak DI Yogyakarta

Seiring berjalannya waktu, terdapat banyak dampak yang ditimbulkan dari adanya pandemik Covid-19. Salah satu yang termasuk di dalamnya adalah banyaknya rencana rencana massive pembangunan yang terhenti dan difokuskan terlebih dahulu untuk menangani kasus Covid-19. Contoh pembangunan yang dihentikan sementara waktu terdapat di Kota Yogyakarta. Terdapat dua rencana pembangunan Ruang Terbuka Hijau Publik (RTHP) yang ditunda. Padahal jika mengingat bahwa Kota Yogyakarta sedang mengejar predikat Kota Layak Anak (KLA) dan tingginya tingkat kecanduan gadget pada anak, maka dirasa perlu adanya sebuah ruang publik terbuka ramah anak yang sampai sekarang masih jarang ditemui di Kota Yogyakarta. Perancangan Children Creative Center ini bertujuan untuk menfasilitasi kebutuhan ruang publik terbuka ramah anak yang difokuskan pada anak usia 5 – 12 tahun agar dapat bermain, berekspresi, melakukan interaksi sosial, dan menggali potensi minat bakat dirinya. Yang nantinya dapat menstimulasi tingkat kekreatifan anak yang akan berguna untuk tumbuh kembang anak kedepannya. Hasil dari perancangan Children Creative Center merupakan penggabungan dari beberapa tipologi didalamnya, yaitu ruang publik, tempat bermain, ruang kreatif, dan fasilitas komersial. Selain itu lanskap juga didesain sedemikian rupa agar dapat mendukung dari fungsi dan konsep besar dari Children Creative Center. Karena mengusung konsep besar The Urban Nature In The City Of Yogyakarta, maka sebisa mungkin lanskap didesain menjadi sebuah sanctuary ditengah hiruk pikuk Kota Yogyakarta. Selanjutnya dikarenakan difokuskan untuk anak – anak maka Children Creative Center dibuat sebuah konsep Connecting With Nature, karena mendukung karakteristik anak – anak pada generasi Z dan alpha dimana mereka lebih terbuka pada dunia maya dan tertutup pada dunia nyata dan memungkinkan terjadinya interaksi sosial antar teman sebayanya.

Over the time, there are many impacts caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. One of them is the number of massive development plans that have been stalled and focused first on dealing with Covid-19 cases. An example of stalled development plan can be seen in the City of Yogyakarta. There are two plans for the construction of Public Green Open Space which have been postponed until 2021. In fact, considering that the City of Yogyakarta is pursuing the title of Child Friendly City and the high level of addiction to gadgets in children, it is deemed necessary to have a child-friendly open public space, which until now is still rarely found in the City of Yogyakarta. Children Creative Center aims to facilitate the need for child-friendly open public spaces that are focused on children aged 5 – 12 years in order to play, express, interact socially with their peers, and explore the potensial interests and talents within themselves. Which later can stimulate the level of child creativity that will be useful for the growth and development of children in the future. The result of the Children Creative Center is an hybrid of several typologies in it, which are public spaces, playgrounds, creative spaces, and commercial facilities. In addition, the landscape is also designed in such a way as to support the functions and major concepts of the Children Creative Center. Because it carries the big concept of The Urban Nature In The City of Yogyakarta, as much as possible the landscape is designed to be a sanctuary amidst the hustle and bustle of the City of Yogyakarta. Furthermore, because it is focused on children, the Children Creative Center created a concept of Connecting With Nature, because it supports the characteristics of children in generation Z and Alpha where they are more open to the virtual world and closed to the real world and allow for social interaction between peers.
