Analisis Industri Masker N95 dan Rencana PT Beta Medical dalam Produksi Masker N95

Pada pertengahan tahun 2021 melalui Kementerian Perindustrian (Kemenperin) mengeluarkan larangan terhadap alat kesehatan impor untuk diserap oleh pemerintahan. Hal ini dilakukan guna mendorong dan memberikan kesempatan pada alat kesehatan dalam negeri untuk dapat bersaing. Namun, tidak dapat dipungkuri bahwa larangan tersebut akan menimbulkan pro dan kontra di berbagai pihak terkait. PT Beta Medical merupakan salah satu perusahaan distributor alat kesehatan impor yang saat ini terdampak akan larangan tersebut. Berdasarkan laporan pendapatan perusahaan dalam 5 tahun terakhir pasar pemerintahan menyumbang mayoritas penjualan di perusahaan. Sehingga, larangan tersebut akan sangat berdampak bagi perusahaan. Guna untuk dapat bertahan di masa yang akan datang perusahaan berencana untuk melakukan diversifikasi pada industri produsen masker N95, dimana saat ini perusahaan melihat bahwa masih adanya kebutuhan terhadap produk tersebut. Dengan begitu perlu dilaksanakan analisis eksternal dengan Porter's Five Forces untuk melihat gambaran industri masker N95 saat ini dan analisis internal dengan SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats) untuk melihat faktor yang mendukung perusahaan untuk masuk kedalam industri. Data diperoleh melalui data primer, yaitu bersumber dari wawancara, dan data sekunder yang bersumber dari laporan perusahaan, dokumen perusahaan, regulasi pemerintah, data asosiasi, dan sumber data terkait lainnya. Hasil analisis pada Porter's Five Forces menunjukkan bahwa industri masker N95 memiliki keadaan persaingan yang kuat dalam hal persaingan antara kompetitor, ancaman pendatang baru, dan kekuatan tawar menawar pembeli, namun memiliki keadaan persaingan yang lemah pada ancaman produk pengganti. Sedangkan kekuatan tawar menawar pemasok tergolong moderat. Kemudian berdasarkan hasil analisis SWOT perusahaan memiliki kekuatan pada jaringan penjualan dan pengalaman di bidang alat kesehatan. Kemudian dari segi kesempatan saat ini regulasi pemerintah mendukung pembuatan alat kesehatan dalam negeri dan adaptasi "new normal" atau kebiasaan baru dalam memakai masker juga cukup menjanjikan untuk kedepannya.

This is done to encourage and provide opportunities for domestic medical devices to be able to compete. However, it cannot be denied that the ban will cause pros and cons in various related parties. PT Beta Medical is one of the imported medical device distributor companies that are currently affected by the ban. Based on the company's earning report in the last 5 years the government market accounts for the majority of sales in the company. So, the ban will be very impactful for the company. In order to survive in the future the company plans to diversify in the N95 mask manufacturer industry, where currently the company sees that there is still a need for the product. In that case it is necessary to conduct an external analysis using Porter's Five Forces to see the current picture of the N95 mask industry and internal analysis using SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats) to see the factors that support the company to enter the industry. Data is obtained through primary data, i.e. sourced from interviews, and secondary data sourced from company reports, company documents, government regulation, association data, and other related data sources Analysis by Porter's Five Forces showed that the N95 mask industry had a strong state of competition in terms of competition between competitors, the threat of new entrants, and buyer bargaining power, but had a weak state of competition on the threat of replacement products. While the bargaining power of supplier is relative moderate. Then based on the result of SWOT analysis the company has strength in the sales network and experience in the field of medical devices. Then in terms of the current opportunity of government regulation to support the manufacture of domestic medical devices and the adaptation of "new normal" or new habits in wearing masks is also quite promising in the future.
